Exxon predicted in 1982 exactly how high global carbon emissions would be today

Or the uncertainty was so high as to make their projections meaningless.

It sure is foolish for anyone to think Exxon is hiding something since the opening of the document allows their people to speak openly of the material.

Funny how cherry picking from these alarmists work.

Educate yourself:

Why have they been funding and continue to fund climate denier politicians?
Why is ExxonMobil Still Funding Climate Science Denier Groups? - Union of Concerned Scientists

You're ignorant is all, this most certainly does not belong in the CT forum. NY State AG sued Exxon for lying to the public and investors, quit treating them like some innocent victim I am slandering. We all are the victims.

Oh please, you didn't get the memo:

You are a year out of date.

These people only know what their conspiracy theorist masters tell them.

They keep forgetting that the IPCC posted a lot of the same stuff over a 29 year period...…………

It is mindless hate is what they run on.

Agreed. They seem not to have any unbiased views.

The Exxon document almost reads like they "borrowed" some of the ideas from Hansen.

I'm sure they did. The alarmists act as if Exxon did this research, and hid it, when all along, all they did wad review other scientific works.

They keep proving how ignorant and intolerant they are, and that they have so many poor values.

And...

I don't think this can be reiterated too many times to these confirmation bias CT'ers.

The opening paragraph of that Exxon report contains:

"It may be used as a basis for discussing the issue with outsiders as may be appropriate."

Exxon did the research, and buried it.

That's hardly the worst thing Exxon has done in connection with climate change. I'd say that funding organizations that deliberately attacked the science and influenced politicians, so that they could continue to be profitable while damaging the environment, is even more egregious than burying research.

I don't think that qualifies as a conspiracy. It's just a component of the abject failure of Exxon to take responsibility for its actions.

Exxon systematically lied to the public and investors for decades, buried what they new, and paid untold millions to politicians who could even more aggressively push conspiracy theories to convert their base in favor of these companies. That is far more than a failure to take responsibility for their actions, they have also used said government via aggressive lobbying to receive billions in subsidies.

This is total corruption putting their profits over the whole human race's future. I can't think of many things more unethical and vile.

Exxon published and shared all their research results. Your claims are lying propaganda.

The abject failure of Exxon, plus hundreds of millions of people who gladly use their products ,fully aware of all the environmental damage they cause .
Including, of course, you.

It is often said that the globalised are making up this problem of Anthropogenic Climate Change. However, even the fossil fuel companies that helped fund these denier causes and politicians, seemed to know a bit more than they led on.

Exxon predicted in 1982 exactly how high global carbon emissions would be today – ThinkProgress

Is this a part of the globalist conspiracy? Or was there rather a conspiracy to cover up this information using politicians bought and paid for by this industry in order to preserve their businesses?

What seems a more likely interpretation of this information? Hmmmm.....

Sadly the fossil fuel companies have been successful in spreading disinformation and delaying the needed transition away from fossil fuels.

There the evidence today is so overwhelming that even fossil fuel companies have to acknowledge the urgent need for action.
