The first pledge was to get rid of the carbon tax. The victory was a scorching 63 to 24 seats, or 55% to 32%.
Alberta is a conservative province of Canada with 4 million people. It’s wealthy from oil, gas and agriculture. (It’s not that different to Queensland and WA.). Jason Kenney is on a mission to get the province back from environmental zealots: fergoodnesssake, he even vowed to set up a ‘War Room’ against energy activists.
The greens were the main target and the people said “Yes”.

The United Conservative Party’s win will mark a sharp turn in the province’s environmental policy. The NDP introduced a number of stringent climate measures in 2015 that included the province’s first ever economy-wide carbon tax. Kenney has promised to repeal that tax as one of his first policy moves after taking power.

Do you have any source for that US have more free trade with the rest of the world compared to Sweden? That Sweden is part of EU and its internal market that includes both Eastern European countries that have lower salaries and living conditions as well as economical powerhouses like Germany. EU also have a lot of free trade agreements with the rest of the world that applies to all member states.

Fossil fuel companies have for decades delayed the transition away from fossil fuel. By for example lobbying and massive disinformation.

So it is very positive and important with the growing global climate movement their more and more people all the world are organizing and demanding action on climate change. There young people are leading and inspiring the movement.

I know that the EU does protect itself with tariffs far better than the USA, and that they have an advantage over us by their taxation methods.

New technologies like renewables needs to support to gain the necissary economy of scale and technology development. There the support to renewables have been very succesfully because renewables are already start to outcompete fossil fuel on producing electricity on demand.

So Jim Bridenstine could have used NASA's climate reserach funds to disprove the urgent the need for action on climate change if it was just "mass hysteria" as you claim. Instead the evidence of manmade global warming is so overwhelming that Jim Bridenstine now acknowledge the scientific consensus and the urgent need for action.
