Axios: 2018 is "almost guaranteed" to be Earth's 4th-warmest year on record

Volcanic eruptions dont result in spikes.... because even the biggest volcano emits about as much CO2 as just a few hours of anthropogenic emissions.

:lamo Have you ever SEEN a major volcanic eruption??

I call them activists

Don Weubbles, in particular, is a great guy. I knew him peripherally when I was at Illinois, and had some friends who worked closely with him.

Here’s a profile of the radical ‘activist’:

Wow, that's very interesting that you know one of these individuals - and look at the credentials, background and the amount of time that he has spent in his field. But yeah, more than likely he's in on the Conspiracy.

I’m quite familiar.

Good to know you can see CO2.

I knew you were ‘special’, just not in that way.

I don't believe you. You have no understanding of what kind of gases or how much of them come out of a major volcanic eruption.

I suppose I could supply references and show you you’re wrong, but frankly, you’re such a low quality poster that it’s not worth my time.

Besides, you can’t reason a man out of a position he didn’t reason himself in to.

Please show your credentials, and explain why you are an expert on climate, science, volcanic ash. That said, I trust your credibility, when it comes to discussions of hot gas.

Neither do you.

Volcanoes don't really put much CO2 out compared to us on an annual basis.

Credentials don't mean anything on forums.

I can't find anything later than August 2018, however it still looks like 2018 will be the 4th warmest year ever. More evidence of the "New Normal"...

https://www.usnews.com/news/at-the-edge/articles/2018-08-07/the-cause-of-the-deadly-global-heatwave

The hottest year on record was 2016, with 2015 and 2017 second and third. Seventeen of the hottest 18 years on record have occurred since 2001, and people born after 1977 have never experienced a year in which temperatures were below the 20th century average.

2016>2017>2018 = cooling

2016>2017>2018 = cooling

So, if 19 of the next 20 years are the warmest on record, and 2038 is warmer than 2039, will that imply that the earth is cooling? That's the situation today!!!

Not the situation today. Sun is approaching minimum. Years, likely decades, of cooling in prospect.
