The Big Melt

...and concentrated!

Ricin is natural too, but I don’t recommend you eat a bunch of castor beans.

I'm not suggesting any such thing. It was you who suggested ingesting a gram or two, I was saying less would be more appropriate. It doesn't take a gram or more.

Are you done with your comical meltdown, or am I going to be rolling on the floor next?

Not sure why you think any ingestion of Mercury is appropriate.

Hate to tell you but your denial position had its ass handed to it in this thread.

I never implied any such thing. You said: "Then go mix a few grams in your drink and enjoy this harmless substance." I suggested a smaller dose would do the same as your grams of it.

I hate to tell you, but you aren't arguing against my point. Your typical confirmation bias is having you argue against a point I never claimed.

LOL...

Typical of your ignorance.

Dude, the ice is melting, permafrost is thawing and ocean levels are rising. WTF are you even denying?

Oh. That’s what you were getting at.

But.. it’s natural! I’m sure it’s fine!

None of which is central. Attribution is the central question.

I thought you believe the earth is cooling which would see the opposite results of what calamitypisted?

I threw that out there to see if you would say we put it there somehow.

The meter and greater layers within the permafrost has almost all the mercury there long before we ever industrialized. In post 32, you brought up the mercury in the permafrost. Why?

So you somehow wanted to ‘trick’ me? How adult.

Read the article. It should be quite clear why I posted it.

Sorry, it isn't clear to me. Maybe the wording is too difficult for me to comprehend. Will you please quote an applicable paragraph, and explain it in your words, what it means.

So you admit you’re hear for false debate, and then demand I quote relevant parts of a short article to you?

No thanks.

I didn't see what you refer to, so please show us, unless you are suggesting that a significant part of this 2 meters of permafrost will be swept into the arctic ocean.

Ice is melting; all over the globe, glaciers are in retreat. Fact.
Permafrost is thawing, from Alaska to Greenland to Norway to Finland, clear on over to Siberia. Fact.
Ocean level is rising, see any low lying island for evidence of that.

You want to pretend it's not due to CO2 in the atmosphere doubling, but to do that you have to deny all the modern climate models, and turn a blind eye to all the predictions from 30 years ago which said that the above is exactly what would happen if CO2 doubled. There comes a time when healthy skepticism turns into "man yells at cloud." Just saying.

LOL.

Ethanol subsidies didn’t destroy Hawaiian sugar cane.

Free trade and the removal of tariffs did, making it non competitive.

Nope. It was ethanol subsidies. Sugar cane didn't get the subsidies, corn did.

It's every post with you.

New England had mercury raining down on it for generations from coal fired plants. Hopefully, the fires in the permafrost (that is so frakking weird to say that) won't rain more down on us.

But it is a problem here, now. And it could become a problem elsewhere. The young can get seriously messed up, even by small doses.

Mercury is everywhere already. The stuff is not plutonium. You only think it's a problem. It's not.
