If this article is accurate, it's that the state is lowballing what they pay nuclear, and the owners think they might retire them early.

The original opponents to nuclear power, wanted to kill it through regulation.
    They have been somewhat successful!

If Texas loses nuclear power, they might start having grid problems like Germany does.

We still have several coal plants, but it would be a shame to loose the big Nuclear plants.

Germany is on a par with the US with regard to quality of electricity supply.

Well, considering they don't get anything like tornadoes and hurricanes, their average 12.8 minutes per customer is pretty bad.

When we consider CO2 concentration changes may represent just 10% of the overall contribution to downwelling longwave, and that downwelling longwave changes are a response to temperature changes, this would appear to leave little room for CO2 concentration changes to play more than a bit role in climate forcing.

That's why I keep saying the changes of the sun reaching the surface affect the total greenhouse effect. And that it isn't calculated in the models.

This study is about downward longwave radiation. The solar energy that reaches the surface is shortwave radiation.

So... tell us all what this study has to do with changes in solar(short wave) radiation reaching the surface.

Maybe with your subscription to all the scientific journals, you can quote the part of the study that the rest of us can't read in the abstract.
