All of N.J. suffers from dirty air, report says

It was dirty under Obama and it will be dirty under the next 3-4 presidents.

Nice work!

It's mostly diesel exhaust I think. Gasoline cars have become very good at curtailing pollution. Probably some older coal plants in the state that haven't had the latest upgrades too. I believe their licenses to operate expire in 2020 unless they upgrade.

New Jersey has been battling air pollution since the early 1950's. If they haven't been able to clean up their *** in 60 years, why do you expect the present administration to do it for them now?!?

Because people believe in communistic control of a president. They forget it takes congressional action too.

But...

That isn't the solution either. The feds do way too much in controlling our lives already.

States rights. If the people who elect their officials were concerned, they would elect the right people.

Jersey has some of the strictest diesel laws in the nation. And the newer DEF trucks run pretty clean.

Yes, but how many are in use that don't fall under the "newer" category?

Where I live it is very clean, until a diesel vehicle passes by.

Sorry but from my memories, it was the oil refineries that contributed the most way back when.
I don't know what refinery row along I-95 smells like in Elizabeth these days but I sure do remember what it used to be like.
