Another new record has been set... the highest daily low temperature ever recorded in the world.

109 degrees F, recorded last week in Oman.

A city in Oman just posted the world?s hottest low temperature ever recorded: 109 degrees - The Washington Post

Oman breaks record for highest 'low' temperature

Just another bit of data.

More data:

this weather extreme adds to a tremendous number of hot-weather milestones established around the world in just over the past year, which include:

In April, Pakistan posted the hottest temperature ever observed on Earth during the month of 122.4 degrees (50.2 Celsius).

Dallas had never hit 90 degrees in November before, but it did so three times in four days in 2017.

In late October 2017, temperatures soared to 108 degrees in Southern California, the hottest weather on record so late in the season in the entire U.S.

On Sept. 1, 2017, San Francisco hit 106 degrees, smashing its all-time hottest temperature.

In late July 2017, Shanghai registered its highest temperature in recorded history, 105.6 degrees (40.9 Celsius).

In mid-July, Spain posted its highest temperature recorded when Córdoba Airport (in the south) hit 116.4 degrees (46.9 Celsius).

In July 2017, Death Valley, Calif., endured the hottest month recorded on Earth.

In late June 2017, Ahvaz, Iran, soared to 128.7 degrees Fahrenheit (53.7 Celsius) — that country’s all-time hottest temperature.

In late May 2017, the western town of Turbat in Pakistan hit 128.3 degrees (53.5 Celsius), tying the all-time highest temperature in that country and the world-record temperature for May, according to Masters.

But it’s cooling, right? [emoji6]

Phoenix, Az. 1990 to 2015 (25 years which is a trend)

320 new record high temps.

183 new record high daily low temps.

The science informs, before 2050, there will be years in Phx. when anytime in May, through to Sept. 30, the temp. will never fall below 90F.

We're close to that now.

Yes, yes, yes.

Anyone with average intelligence understands that the urban heat island effect increases with the size and density of a city.

Yes. And it’s such a huge metropolis.

There’s never been such a large city ever before.

I'm melting, melting, melting.........Move up in altitude, I'll buy your waterfront property.

Depends on the question.

Correct, and none of the questions this answers are useful for the discussion you’re attempting to shoehorn it into.

Fact is global temps are cooling.

Fact is, they're not.

According to your preferred measure of global temperature, the global temperature for June was a little higher than it was for May. Not that it makes any sense at all to place significance on fluctuations on timescales of less than a couple of decades or so, but we can all play the same stupid game as you if we want to.

UAH Global Temperature Update for June, 2018: +0.21 deg. C

"The Version 6.0 global average lower tropospheric temperature (LT) anomaly for June, 2018 was +0.21 deg. C, up a little from the May value of +0.18 deg. C"

Fact is global temps are cooling.

Fact is 2016 was the warmest year on record. 2017 was only the third warmest. Another fact is that the 17 warmest years have been in this century.
Another fact is that trying to deny global warming is like denying evolution. And still another fact, one you deniers should be familiar with- one year isn't a trend.

Except that Temperature anomalies do not compare May to June, but rather June to other Junes.
