Major paper shows massive loss of Antarctic ice over the last few decades.

There are lots of threads about Arctic ice levels.

The Antarctic is gaining ice over all, at least according to many papers coming out of the likes of NASA etc.

Ramp-Up in Antarctic Ice Loss Speeds Sea Level Rise

"Ice losses from Antarctica have tripled since 2012, increasing global sea levels by 0.12 inch (3 millimeters) in that timeframe alone, according to a major new international climate assessment funded by NASA and ESA (European Space Agency).

According to the study, ice losses from Antarctica are causing sea levels to rise faster today than at any time in the past 25 years. Results of the Ice Sheet Mass Balance Inter-comparison Exercise (IMBIE) were published Wednesday in the journal Nature."

300 posts in, Tim forgets the title of the thread and recycles long dead denier talking points.

Wonder when we are going to hear about how 20 Million a year die from ethanol production.

I don’t know why they never pick you to do peer review for these articles.

I mean...all these experts not knowing simple math! And being totally unfamiliar with equations published on denier websites!

I can understand when people argue over whether man is causing global warming.

BUt, it is bat-****-crazy to deny the obvious, that our planet is losing it's ice caps at an alarming rate! I mean- DUh! LOL!

What is alarming for you?

How much sea level rise do you think is going tohappen due to any ice melt?

· West Antarctic meltdown. It starts with a major New York Times story on the supposed imminent demise of the West Antarctic ice sheet—a victim, it is implied, of mankind’s hydrocarbon profligacy that will be met with biblical punishment in the form of rising sea levels and the flooding of coastal cities around the world. Nowhere is there any mention that West Antarctica sits atop areas of geothermal activity that, according to a recent study, is possibly the densest region of volcanoes in the world, a discovery which a Washington Post headline spun as “[a]nother climate-change nightmare: 91 new volcanoes beneath Antarctica’s ice.”6 . . . ."

Have you verified that the paper published in Nature says what the pundit has stated?

I'm going to look it up. What is really suspicious, is they failed to jive the nature link.

TFW you’ve been denying stuff for so long you don’t even recognize a reference to the OP in a thread.

That is a well researched paper.
