[h=1]Eye roller reporting from CBS: Climate Change ‘Making Allergy Season Worse’[/h]From “the stupid, it burns” department and Breitbart. Global warming is fueling the growth of plants, which means that allergy sufferers can expect more pollen, and in turn more sneezing and red, itchy eyes, according to a new report by CBS News. Warming global temperatures mean “another tough season for allergy sufferers,” CBS warns, as “warm…

You're leaning against a door no one is trying to open. No one believes even Hansen (stupid as he is) is stupid enough to have made the 20 year prediction. That misunderstanding is the stupid warmist author's fault. He's still on the hook for 2028, and the highway looks pretty dry.

Oh. So now it’s so stupid no one would believe in it.

Yet you were the one who brought it up. Hmmm.

Yes. I brought up the 2028 prediction. Only you brought up the mistake no one else cares about.

Well lookie there, another "wattsupwiththat" plug.

Another 50 cents in the bank eh Jack?

[h=1]Study: California to get “climate whiplash” between drought and floods[/h]Biblical 40 days and 40 nights rain events forecast to increase. From the “models are always accurate in climateland for the next 80 years” department comes this claim of “weather, er, climate whiplash”. According to the study published today, California will zigzag between droughts and floods which will become more intense and more frequent in…

This popped up on my Facebook "news" feed:

Family Research Council on One America News network(OAN)

"If this California bill were to pass, it would prohibit the sale of the Bible simply because of what scripture says about sexual morality." (Family Research Council)

https://www.facebook.com/familyresearchcouncil/videos/10156297921607442/

TEXT OF BILL:
AB-2943 Unlawful business practices: sexual orientation change efforts.

The word "Bible" isn't even anywhere in the bill at all.
The bill appears to outlaw so called "sexual conversion therapy" programs, but it includes many other practices, such as known deceptive lending tricks, selling used goods which are labeled as new, etc.
I am dubbing the OAN story as more than a bit misleading.

I look forward to your answer.

In a few weeks it will be thirty years since Dr. James Hansen famous testimony
before the United States Congress, and it's not happening in all that time. Yes
the projections are accelerating curves. I'm just asking when it's going to begin
to accelerate. Rewriting historical data which was done to the satellite record
earlier this year doesn't actually change the physical world.

This little discussion has been about sea level and you talk about floating sea ice:

"Water tends to absord sunlight, while ice tends to reflect."
As Threegoofs points out, I've been at this for over a decade and in all that time
folks on your side of the coin never seem to get the message that floating ice
doesn't run up sea level when it melts. Oh they will acknowledge that fact,
but just like you, they'll be right back at it a short time later.

There's a well-known quote from George Orwell about restating the obvious,
and what's obvious is that sea level isn't going to suddenly begin to rise twice
as fast as it has over the last several centuries.

You know it, I know it, and Threegoofs knows it.

No, you just don't want to believe it. Fact is - they are rising. Good link...

You may view melting glaciers, and rising sea level as OK, at certain levels. I don't get too wrapped up in the numbers. If it's 3.2 mm per year, or 6.2 mm per year, or somewhere in between; it's still a major problem.

The sea levels were and have been rising, and they will continue to rise until they do not.
Attributing a Human contribution to the observed sea level rise, implies that it is a human solvable problem,
when in reality what humans do, or do not do, will likely not have any affect of what the sea level does.
FYI a 3.2 mm per year rise is 12.59 inches per century.

More easily;

How come the US tax on alcohol changed the lamp oil choice for the rest of the world?

Sea levels were actually around TWO Meters or more higher than now in the early part of the Interglacial time:

This one from a COMMENT:

Zerbini et al., 2017
Sea-level change in the Northern Mediterranean Sea from long-period tide gauge time series - ScienceDirect
Our regional results, however, are in close agreement with the global mean rate, + 1.2 mm/year, published by Hay et al. (2015) which is currently being discussed by the oceanographic community

McAneney et al., 2017
http://onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/10.1002/joc.4989/full
Global averaged sea-level rise is estimated at about 1.7 ± 0.2 mm year−1 (Rhein et al. 2013), however, this global average rise ignores any local land movements. Church et al. (2006) and J. A. Church (2016; personal communication) suggest a long-term average rate of relative (ocean relative to land) sea-level rise of ∼1.3 mm year.

Bezdek, 2017
Water Intrusion in the Chesapeake Bay Region: Is It Caused by Climate-Induced Sea Level Rise?
[G]lobal average sea levels have been rising at about 1.8 mm/yr. Although rates of absolute sea-level rise (rise due just to increases in ocean volume) can vary substantially from one location to another and change over time, the global average rate of 1.8 mm/yr. from 1961 to 2003 is a widely accepted global benchmark rate.

There are many more published papers on this.

For once I will agree with you. There really isn't much we can do. The damage is done. The Paris Accord only had a goal of limiting temperature rise to 2 deg C, and that will still lead to a lot of sea level rise - as you say - well over 1 foot.

They do like any blogger does. Compile information and tell a narrative in their own view.

While it could be said that there appears to be a correlation between CO2 and temperature, no such correlation exists between CO2 and sea level.
The Sea level have been raising at a fairly steady rate for over 200 years.

I see. With your scientific wisdom, do you see a correlation between temperature and sea level?

Logic 101.
If A causes B, and B causes C, then A is a causal factor for C.
