As already pointed out, and confirmed by link, Lawson's correction to Gore and Stott's statement are not in conflict on temperature. It's there in black and white. The facts of the case simply don't line up with your narrative.

Sorry, but your links to random bloggers confirm nothing. The actual authors of the IPCC reports are a far more authoritative source of information on the content of the IPCC reports!

The BBC audio is direct from the BBC's own website. The IPCC conclusions were compiled by University of Colorado professor Roger Pielke Jr., and are presented with an accompanying IPCC link for verification. You're running from the evidence.

That's not the first time that the BBC has been caught out giving "false balance", i.e. treating opposite opinions as equally valid regardless of the accuracy of those opinions. The BBC has a duty to inform and should not be allowing outright lies to pass unchallenged as reasonable arguments. Let's hope they've finally learned their lesson.

Do you consider the minute, well, not beyond the range of instrumental error, increase in temperatures since 1998 to be significantly more than nothing?

Given that there has been no substantive rise in temperatures the statement that it has not got warmer is accurate.

This is the "consensus police" at work.

How much temperature rise do you expect to see in the next 10 years?

If it only rises by 0.1c or less will you consider the panic over?
