Too bad Cat 5 Hurricanes can't reach Ottawa..........
I wonder if they can reach Southern California.

Seriously? It's hilarious to hope someone's home is destroyed. Extra yuks if the person is injured or killed. :lamo
Irma is a Cat 4. Not historically significant.
Early in the morning on August 29, 2005, Hurricane Katrina struck the Gulf Coast of the United States. When the storm made landfall, it had a Category 3 rating on the Saffir-Simpson Hurricane Scale–it brought sustained winds of 100–140 miles per hour–and stretched some 400 miles across.

I'm sure the people living in the Keys would agree with you.
Not sure the date of this clip, but the time span between Katrina and Irma is 12 years. And I am sorry to inform you hateful liberals that the lives and property of global warming alarmists will be damaged by this storm as well.
Your emoticons convinced me.
Now, how about that science from NOAA that you are diligently ignoring.
It's a Cat 4 right now because it's busy over Cuba. Hurricanes always weaken when they hit land. When it gets back over water it's strength will increase again. Hurricane Katrina was "only" a Cat 3 when it hit New Orleans. That was quite enough.
I wonder if they can reach Southern California.
I am in no way minimizing this very serious storm. But this storm isn't some monster "strongest storm evah" caused by global warming. Storm history bears this out.
The earthquakes would object to hurricanes muscling in on their territory.
What science are you talking about? Again, post #1 from this very thread, "I hope this ****er's house get annihilated." NOAA is not even mentioned.
Doesn't have to be the strongest storm ever. One of 3 within a few weeks along with an earthquake of quite significance in Mexico. All I know is I sure as hell am not moving to the coast. Bad enough I'm 75 miles away or so. But you go right ahead. I'm sure everything will be fine.
Actually, it was a Cat 4 before it hit Cuba. At this point in time, experts are predicting a Cat 4 landfall in Florida.
Good dog almighty, countryboy, it was in a direct reply from me to a post of yours. You can't even find science directed specifically to you!

It had been a 5 before it started running into the various islands. This isn't a contest about ratings. It's about the potential for damage, which in this case is severe. Hurricane seasons seem to cycle. We get seasons with numerous and severe storms followed by seasons with storms that are weaker and less numerous. The problem is that this busy season seems to be producing stronger storms than the last one.
I hope this ****er's house get annihilated.
Try to stay on topic.
And no one with a sense of humor is surprised by your high dungeon.

Right, because people should be harmed for disagreeing with leftist orthodoxy.
It's "high dudgeon" ... not "high dungeon".
But it's no big deal because you're wrong about so many more important things than that.
Thank you, bubba.
I think you are confusing leftist hate for humor. Because there is nothing funny here. But there is a lot of hate.
I'm here for ya, babe.
