I also do not see any difficulty in recycling the panels, the frames and surface should be fine, and the actual cells are very pure materials.

Actually, the cells themselves will be a complex process to recycle, but not prohibitively costly. There are several elements on the silicon during on both the front and back.
 
I'm not sure I understand your point.

The point is in my view, that in the future, there will be a natural progression where alternate energy is cheaper than oil. It is idiotic to rush a natural process with tax payer subsidies.

Actually I do, the cost of goods sold is the total cost to get something to market.
The real cost of finding and extracting oil is getting more expensive.
The easy stuff has been exploited, what remains is both difficult and expensive.
Fracking is a symptom not a cure, related to oil.
