Why are so many people getting wrapped up in what the temperature changes over the next 80+ years will be under the Paris Climate deal?

Why can't people just be happy and feel good about almost all the nations on Earth coming together for a common cause to deal with a problem? I suppose some people just want to complain and don't want to see the beauty of many nations joining hands in solidarity and saying "we won't accept climate catastrophe".

Pretty typical of anti-greens to get wrapped up in minutiae instead of seeing the big picture.

The problem is that the IPCC and the Paris Climate deal, have identified the wrong problem.
We have a decent chance of finding a solution to Humanities real problems, but our chances go down,
if we do not properly identify the problem.
The Problem is not CO2, but energy! If the worlds population is to increase it's standard of living, it requires energy.
There is simply not enough fossil fuels to allow all 7.5 billion people alive today to attain,
a modest first world lifestyle. Cutting emissions in the first world, my help this problem by accident,
but it would be better to work on the actual problem.

Because the road to hell is paved with good intentions, sweat the small stuff.

As a result of this hippy love in/guilt complex/communist destruction wish the world uses loads of food as fuel. This has raised basic food prices by 30% to 70%.

All of us(those with a computer) are paying between $400 to $700 a year to help keep already rich western farmers richer than they would be.

The poor of the world are also paying but they have less to spend so often go hungry. My guess is that 20 million people per year are dying as a result of this bad science.

I know that poor people dying is mimutiae in your opinion as you don't actually count them as real people but not for me.

LOL!!

Okay, let's all hold hands...but make sure you got LOTS of "green(backs)" in YOUR hands.

Actually they are getting together and mostly making hypocritical statements. The ones making the most furious noises are Europeans that need external dangers and enemies to save the EU or the Chinese that are egging the EU folks on for strategic reasons of their own. And then there are the elites around the world that had been expecting the payments from the fund. But the fact is that while the loudest complainer's country increased co2 emissions per capita last year and will again this year the US is on a downward trend.

So, you're telling us that the numbers don't support your argument.

Sorry, but $trillions upon $trillions and a significantly lesser standard of living is too big a price to pay for a kumbaya moment and a less than 0.2 degree reduction in warming (assuming the estimates are even accurate).

Trump nailed that big fat global warming scam's carcass to the wall. Good for him.

I don't why I thought of this when i read this post ..

Why are so many people getting wrapped up in whether Saddam Hussein actually has WMD and what exactly has?

Because there isn't a problem.

I suppose some people just want to complain and don't want to see the
beauty of many nations joining hands in solidarity and saying "we won't
accept climate catastrophe".

There isn't a looming catastrophe either.

The devil is in the details. And the details reveal a paper tiger.
