The poor air quality is definitely not trick photography where I live. <cough, cough>

The LA pics look to be taken at right angles to each other, and the sunlight is falling from opposite sides. Try harder.
 
Not in the least claiming that environmental regulations are not needed, or that air quality isn't an issue. I am saying that using creatively edited photos is a dishonest way about gain support for those regulations.
 
The funny thing is that if we take the original picture at face value,
the IPCC would then have believe that clearing the skies of pollution DID not alter the energy balance, as much as CO2!
In reality, I have not been able to find any before and after on the surface measurements of solar energy.
