I did watch the video, and I saw the presenter attempt to discount the reports of Bates' comments on buoy data by arguing that Bates doesn't mention "throwing away" buoy data, and only mentions buoy data in passing in the post at Curry's site, ignoring that Bates also did an interview with The Mail Online that was published that same day where he mentioned how Karl ruined the buoy data and made the sea surface temperatures in his reconstruction warmer than they should be in the process.
