I am still on the fence about the whole climate change thing BUT:

I have solar panels, I have not had an electric bill in about 4 years now ( best improvement I ever did ) but I did it because electricity is REALLY expensive in California.

I recycle everything, cardboard, paper, tin can's etc. goes to a lady down the street, she turns it in ( for the whole area) and donates it to the local school. ( many thousands of dollars per year )

Bottles, aluminum cans, plastic I recycle myself,, Goes to grand kids college fund.

I compost all leftover food stuffs, ( except meat, dogs get that),

I have a garden, I grow my own veggies, I have chickens for eggs. ( I happen to have a good green thumb so I provide a good portion of our produce )

I am lucky to be able to work from home so I don't do a lot of driving.

That being said:

I would like to hear what those "climate change" believers are doing for their part,, Other than complaining.

It sounds like you're doing an excellent job trying to leave a smaller footprint. Congratulations.

We recycle and have very little regular garbage. We don't compost, but our scraps feed the wildlife who come nightly for treats. Any bones get taken to the woods near our home. We conserve power and water. That's about it. Not near your level of commitment, but better than some.

We do all the same stuff but, both of us work away from home and drive trucks.

Good on you man.

We have curb side recycling, so any plastic, cardboard or paper they take goes into that bin. The food goes either into the trash or the in sink disposal.

We've been slowly replacing all our incandescent bulbs with LEDs, except for the ones on the dimmer switch, the LED dimmer ones just really don't work right yet. When they do, they'll probably go that route as well.

I've turned all the computers so that they go to low power mode when not being used (I used to run them full blast 100%, but no longer).

I manage to get some 20 MPH out of my mid-sized car, just by driving a bit more carefully, but to be honest, that more driven by gas money than anything else.

Am I "climate change believer", umm, no not really, but really, this IS the only planet we have (at least right now), so we should take care of it.
Just not to excess and economic damage / market distortion. That's just not the best way to go.

But are you voting for deniers?

I have put forward here and other places, a plan to expand photo voltaic solar power, and store the surplus energy as carbon neutral fuel
compatible with existing needs and with existing infrastructure.
The Governments role would be to unify the home solar rules across the country to make home solar palatable to both home power
producers and utilities.
If we get more than say 20% home solar, the grid will have massive swings, the upswings will need a load, and the refineries can
be that load.
I cannot understate how important energy storage is to the currently available alternate energy sources.
Hydrocarbon storage allows the low density irregular energy to be accumulated in a form compatible with our existing needs.
Batteries can store energy, but not seasonally as we need.
Sometimes the most elegant solution, is one that is mostly transparent to the end user.
This offers that possibility, and much more, it could scale around the world, and allow the entire planet to live a first world lifestyle.
Furthermore, it could do this without increasing CO2 levels.

I don't think I do anything in an "attempt" to "combat climate change."

I do concern myself with the environment. I do things like recycling.

I just don't see anything practical for me to do to combat climate change.

Besides, I would be happy to see a couple more degrees globally!
