This is the under-reported story of Henrik Svensmark's theory and research into the ... Nir Shaviv, of the Astrofysiker Hebrew University explains, “During most of earth's ... Senate Resolves to “Take Steps Now” on Climate Change (25-5), 2015.
Greetings, Jack. :2wave:
I just watched the six part presentation, and took notes as I watched. At this point, I hope this movie has a happy ending for Svensmark and Shaviv! Being able to prove a correlation between our planet moving in and out of the spiral arms and the resultant changes that occur in our climate was fascinating, and I was relieved to see that mankind has very little to do with climate change. We may indeed be destroying our planet by polluting the water, land, and everything we touch, but that's another story.
The fact that they couldn't get their papers published for years, because it went against accepted dogma, was so sad and unfair, but whenever there is a lot of money and politics involved in something, that isn't surprising. I was also surprised to see how young both men were - I was expecting much older scientists, since they have been working on this theory for years. I'm glad they persevered. I will be interested in hearing what climate change believers have to say after seeing what has been presented here, and where the area of disagreement might be, since I'm not a scientist. Perhaps it's always this way when a new concept is introduced?
Now that it is theorized of what we may be able to expect in the future, climate-wise, when earth travels in and out of the spiral arms, future generations of people will be able to prepare for coming ice ages, etc, and that is a big plus, IMO.
