Strangers taken a crash coarse in nuclear physics while reminiscing through he pappys stuffs...what’s this, whoops! Damn dad, did moms know? You’s was crazy

Keep talking out of your ass.

So you don't know a damn thing.
I threw the Russian poster in there because they copied most of my old man's research.
He was also one of the original negotiators at the Strategic Arms Limitation Talks (S.A.L.T.) in Moscow.

I'm getting bored.
me too, the pictures cool, I’m sure I would have enjoyed talking to him. But I gotta day I’m a little disappointed, I was hoping you were gonna ask me some things I might even actually know about.

Why can’t I find a job...I went to college, I spent $225 grand and my nieghbor who’s a grease ball mechanic in the building trades is making three times what I used to make.

Well Boo hoo hoo, suck it up cup cake, you bought into it, go back to night school and pick ya up a wrench, we can’t all sit behind a computer and produce nothing for the Country opting to push money and information around. Wait wait wait!...you can always teach, bwahhaaa

The average college grad will make twice as much throughout their lifetimes what non college grads make, and most state colleges don't cost all that much. You seem to feel incredibly insulted or inferior because of your mechanic job, but the world needs mechanics just like the world needs engineers and educated people.

Try being less bitter and recognize our society requires all types of people.

If you actually knew anything, you'd be throwing down. You don't.

Nobody should feel inferior about being a mechanic, especially with today's sophisticated motor vehicles.

Well I am going to do what I do best and totally over-analyze this post.

The vast majority of students aren't spending 225 grand on college. The average student loan debt is about 30 grand and borrowing more than 100 grand is extremely unusual. The average auto mechanic is making about $17.5 per hour so this college student would have to be earning some really bad money or the mechanic must be really high-earning compared to others in his field. You mention sitting behind a computer and pushing information around as an example of a job people can't get. These boring office jobs actually tend to be the best paying and most in-demand like software development, accounting, finance, etc. The jobs people have a hard time getting a job in are liberal arts and academia degrees.

Entry mechanic $11-13.

Shut up, 4chan refugee.

OK, i was being nice, now i will flat out say, Mr highly educated type. Evidently you cant even flip a damn photo in the right direction on a computer. Take your race baiting and flip it, if you can manage to figure out how you handle that simple task. I hear they have classes for basic computer functions, try one.

Because there's been an oversupply of both for decades. Of course the absolute most amusing entry in useless college degrees is a relative newcomer:

GENDER STUDIES :lamo

That one has to be topping the list by a mile.

Forum software is the problem. Your problem is, you have no earthly idea what I do for a living, thus you have no idea what I know or don't know. In any case, you can flip or manipulate to your heart's content but DP's forum software randomly does what it wants.

If there is a secret widget to manipulate the orientation ON this forum in the GO ADVANCED section, I've yet to find it.
Go ahead, if you can show me where you can switch from portrait to landscape IN the forum posting GUI, I will cheerfully apologize and admit I was wrong.

thank you for your expertise and experience, couple things you should know, when someone says mechanic don’t assume it’s an auto mechanic a mechanic is someone who works with tools. That said, someone who works at a nuclear power plant as a journey foreman can earn upwards of $ 6 figures, and if it’s refeuling on an outage there is boo-coo overtime to be had, your only limit is the amount of radiation you can take.

But yes a liberal arts degree is about useless and their parents should have known better, but little Joanie’s doing great and she made the deans list.

Why can’t I find a job...I went to college!
Several plausible reasons come to mind:

  • Your formal training is in a low-demand discipline.
  • The jobs you're seeking requires skills you haven't got.
  • The people competing for the same jobs are better candidates.
  • You interview poorly.
  • You're looking in the wrong place.
  • You're unwilling, for whatever reason, to accept the jobs offered to you, or that employers would be willing to offer to you.
  • You're looking for a job rather than starting a business of your own.
  • Your collegiate performance was undistinguished.
I don't know you, but I am fairly sure at least one of the above explains why you can't find a job.

Go back to 4chan, they miss you.

My gawd but do liberals toss the race card so freely around here. I dont want your apology, it would be a farce, anyway. Carry on

And you posted a union you are associated with...

ASE certified automotive techs make a lot more than that, especially if they're working at a major dealer.
The guy who works on your Volvo XC90 or your Audi A8 or Corvette-based Caddy luxo-sport coupe is making around 40 bucks an hour or more.

Entry level means oil changes, tire rotation, serpentine belts, EGR valve replacement, spark plugs...

You may want to consider the job another member noted as being available.

The island of Sark has no dairy farmer at present after the last one gave up running the business. Nice location near the Northern French coast, friendly locals and a chocolatier desperate for milk to make her popular Sark Chocolate.

400 residents, no buses or motor vehicles on the island and no income tax to be paid.

Sounds idyllic but you have to bring your own dairy herd...

More pay requires more school.

Race didn't have a damn thing to do with it.
Did you find the secret portrait/landscape widget yet?

Better yet, you try posting a portrait oriented photo here. Half the time it will post correctly, then the next time it will just do what it wants. See for yourself. The shot I posted shows up portrait in my Files, it displays correctly in any viewer, it displays correctly in Photoshop, GIMP or any other s/w...even video editing s/w....even on goddamn Facebook.
The only place it doesn't is here, and the next three times it might display it correctly once and then revert back for no logical reason.

The Union was the IATSE Motion Picture and Videotape Editor's Guild, previously Local 776, now IATSE Local 700.

I got my start butchering feature films to fit in a two hour broadcast time slot for the networks way back when they had shows like ABC's Saturday Night at the Movies and "After School Specials". It was the most un-creative work in the entire industry, just cut wherever you can to make it run 88 minutes, which leaves time for ad spots because each hour consists of 44 minutes of program and 22 minutes of commercials.

And that lackluster apprentice gig paid almost three thousand dollars a week, in 1980's money.

So what was your little quip of "shup up 4chan refugee" implying?

Okay...Then what was the point of your writing this -- "Why can’t I find a job...I went to college, I spent $225 grand and my nieghbor [sic] who’s a grease ball mechanic in the building trades is making three times what I used to make" -- in your OP, and summarizing that sentiment in your thread title?
