I am still waiting for why you single these out and how you feel about them. You seemed to infer that somehow they were unfair, I am waiting to hear from you if this is indeed what you mean and if so, why do you think that?
    Not me. OrphanSlug.

I repeat on the surface neither one itself is a problem, added to the pool of this mess with admissions to college it becomes a problem.

You can pretend all you want that you found something, and if it is that important then start a thread and perhaps others will join.

Athletic and academic rides, just what is the problem? You brought them up.

No clue what you are talking about. I want to talk about what you brought up, Athletic and academic rides. How are they a part of the mess with admissions.

BTW, I am aware of no mess with admissions. So you may want to start there.

A couple bad folks commit a crime from this you go you all admissions area mess. That is a terrible fallacy of logic.

Because the charges in this case involve both.

Not really and you are not making any sense.

Let me make the question clear.

How are athletic and academic scholarships a problem?

Not entirely true. College is not for everyone. I know people who went to trade school and are "successful". imo, some trade school education is better than some of the liberal arts degrees put out by some colleges.

They are not, I've said that. How they are being exploited is, how have you not picked up on that already?

Same point I have made previously...

All the folk ****ting themselves over this horribly unfair practice...

Where have you been on Affirmative Action? I think I must have missed the numerous threads of people venting their poutrage over lesser qualified individuals getting preferred treatment.

    ?????????????????????????????????????????????????? ?????????

A handful of criminals who are also coaches committed a crime. It's really that simple. And as I got the story, zero scholarships were granted for athletics or academics. These crimes were strictly for entrance.

So just how are they being exploited?

Affirmative action does not give less qualified people and advantage over more qualified people. It simply give preference to similarly qualified people.
