For once happy news--a success story!

From Fox News:

Raven Osborne, 18, is a student at 21st Century Charter School in Gary, Indiana, but has also been taking college classes part-time since she was a freshman, according to USA Today.

...Osborne completed her college degree by enrolling in year-round classes at her local community college, taking online courses and attending Purdue University Northwest for two years, according to CBS News.

...Next for Osborne is employment. Osborne has recently been hired by the charter school as an early interventionist with elementary-age children. She is slated to begin in the fall. Indiana teen to get college degree before she even graduates high school | Fox News

Pretty cool. Though I hope she found some time to actually be a teenager during those years.

Osborne, 17, was a shy stuttering student who was once told by a teacher that she simply didn't have what it takes to succeed.

“When I was a younger, I was labeled with a learning disability,” Link.

She's one who beat the education odds against her, even her teachers trying to do her down at one point. Well done Raven Osborne.

Good for her! The status quo has done everything in it's power to stop young adults like her from achieving her dreams. She was facing constant threat and pressure from educators and administrators to fail. I'm glad that she has achieved this success despite the members of the education union threatening her.

5 reasons charter schools are bad news for students - Education Votes

The NEA has been sending out threatening propaganda in order to demoralize her and all students and parents who would like to send their children to charter schools. It's shameful and terrifying. The NEA propagandists are outraged at her story and the MSM has been trying to squelch Raven Osborne's story from spreading. That's why you don't see her information in any of the big Newspapers. Instead they're busing focusing on nonsense that doesn't matter.

But this just isn't true--USA Today, the Chicago Tribune, the Philly Tribune, Fox News, CBS and ABC affiliates, and even HuffPo have all run articles. Where is your evidence that Ms. Osborne received threatening propaganda from anybody?
