Employment is already at the will of either party.
"Any benefits administered by the state"? That's an interesting thought. Are these benefits standardized? Are they free of charge? By what process is the wealth created to pay for the "benefits"?
You are still at the point in the Steve Martin comedy routine where he says, "First, get a million dollars".
To which country from all of history do you point that demonstrates the wisdom and workability of your thoughts.
Equal protection of the law is in our Constitutions. Persons should be able to obtain unemployment compensation for simply being unemployed in an At-Will Employment State. It really should be, that simple. Why is solving poverty any more complicated than that?
