Investors should be wary when it comes to trusting China over President Donald Trump, CNBC’s Jim Cramer said Monday.

“I’m aghast we trust the People’s Republic of China more than we trust the White House,” Cramer said on “Squawk Box.” “The predominance of coverage this morning is that the president is lying. I’m not willing to say that he’s lying. We can doubt him, but in the end we’re doubting a guy that didn’t want the market to crash.”

Cramer was referring to Trump’s comments at the G-7 summit Monday in France, where he said Beijing is ready to reenter negotiations and begin serious talks.

“China called last night our top trade people and said ‘let’s get back to the table’ so we will be getting back to the table and I think they want to do something,” Trump told reporters.

At a later press event, Trump said he didn’t want to talk about phone calls, saying that talks between U.S. and Chinese trade officials have been taking place at the highest levels.

However, the editor-in-chief of the Global Times, a tabloid controlled by the Communist Party of China, tweeted that Trump was “exaggerating.”

Cramer is 100% correct. The Communist Chinese are run by thugs. I may have reservations about Trump however I cannot trust the Chinese government/media.

Trusting neither until facts prove one of them correct seems to be the right strategy here.

It's not our fault we don't trust Trump, who lies about everything and everything. People who do that as routinely as Trump does lose the benefit of the doubt.

On Monday, August 26th, 2019 I saw a man that has definitely learned his lesson from his foolish comments on Friday.

HAHAHA!!! The Global Times, LOL!!! Ya, there is a whole lot of bull crap there. That's who you can't trust to tell the truth. I'm going to bet Trump knows more than Cramer about phone calls from China. I think Cramer and the other idiots on CNN and MSNBC are the ones who are truly dangerous for the world!!!

I'm going to bet Trump knows more than Cramer about phone calls from China. I think Cramer and the other idiots on CNN and MSNBC are the ones who are truly dangerous for the world!!!
 
Trump is a compulsive and heinous lair, who will lie about anything and everything. One has to be a complete and utter idiot not to see it at this point.

The PRC are propagandists, but they are smart about it. They would never claim (for example) that the South Korean government was calling them asking for foreign help, as they would know from the outset that such a lie would be refuted by SK.

Trump? Pfffft. He's told lies that the Mexican government was ready to build a wall, Canada was ready to agree to his trade terms, North Korea is ready to make a deal, and **** that I'm no doubt forgetting the list of his childish lies is so long.

You can just read Trump and Mnuchin's faces and see that the story wasn't true - you could practically watch their noses grow. When old Trump's best evidence was "well, they didn't 100% say there were no phone calls", that pretty much gives it away. It's like a child getting caught in a lie.

From a true "Never Trumper" or a Democrat. Either one we can't give the benefit of the doubt to because they lie about everything and everything.

Haven't watched news today, and I hope you're right, but there's still no reason to believe anything Trump says until we see the evidence.

To be truthful, the Democratic Party should fly the Chinese flag at political and their candidates events. Are you far along on learning the Chinese language? I've heard it is a difficult language to learn.
