A Study Found Bankruptcy Soared Among Americans 65 And Older

I'm guessing here, but I would imagine the seniors who declared bankruptcy were mostly Democrats. They seem to be the group that might be more gullible when the government says, "Good day folks, I'm from the government, and I'm here to help".

Seriously, I don't feel sorry for people who could have saved for their retirements but didn't.

Lack of empathy seems to be a prerequisite for your tribe. You learned from the best. What makes you so sure that YOU are the only thing that matters?

Empathy is irrelevant. What matters are actions. I would take a helping hand over a shed tear any day of the week.

If you want to learn about "better living through bankruptcy", you should ask our President, who was once a Democrat.

Empathy is the reason for helping. Without it you don't care.

As someone who is very familiar with people clinically incapable of "empathy", I can tell you that a tendency to fix "what's wrong with this picture" is just as useful. For example: People are not SUPPOSED to sitting at the side of the road with a flat tire, people are not SUPPOSED to be trapped in a burning building, people are not SUPPOSED to be going hungry, etc., etc., etc.

Just because someone doesnt agree with a political ideology of wealth redistribution doesnt mean that person lacks empathy.
