I just watched my two co-workers spend upwards of $1000 on a scam software that promises you can get rich quick. I was laughing at them the whole time, and they said. Who cares? It's $500. If it makes us some money, we'll be fine. Why do people fall for this crap? Plus the website was one of those really poor designs with a bunch of useless white space, and loud obnoxious flash videos showing you the way the of the insiders.

"Who Cares" being a theme these days in this society, though loads of people will lie to you and say they do if you want......all you need to do to know for sure is to look at what they do, particularly the quality of their work.

I blame the parents, this **** starts in the home.

Get rich quick schemes have been around since the dawn of time -- and the biggest one of all?

The Lottery.

Yet, people want to think that they'll get ahead by investing very little money in just the right thing. I think it's just human nature. Most folks outgrow it -- some never do.

Im good....I got an e-mail yesterday from a Nigerian Prince...

The (state) lottery is just voluntarily offering the state extra tax revenue with the extremely remote chance of getting a large refund.

Nah, it's $2-5-10 for a lovely daydream. I take so long to check mine, just to hold onto that "well, I've still got a chance" thing... haha...

The odds are far better at a blackjack table and they serve free drinks.

Suckers, one is born every minute. Clearly a gross underestimate.

lol...true, but at $25 a bet at the local casino, the day dream becomes a little less enjoyable...haha

I don't know if they still exist but, in Deadwood, SD (1992?) I played on $1 (weekday) to $5 (weekend) blackjack tables. To keep you from leaving to get a meal they also offered a steak dinner for $4.99 and, of course, free drinks.

We don't have a ton of options up here...I wouldn't mind, if blackjack was my game, but I'm a poker guy, and they don't have a poker room at the local casino, so I basically end up saving a lot of money...haha

nothing wrong with playing mega millions or power ball once in a while

now if you are using rent money, we have to talk

but if you are just using money that would be entertainment dollars anyways, then its okay by me

and we all need to dream once in a while...if only for a few hours of hitting it rich for a buck or two

there is an old saying....you cant win if you dont play....it is true

it is also true that IF you play, your chance of winning is very very slim

i can live with that

Everytime i think of black jack i think of this.

I am more of a poker guy myself.
even in black jack the house has better odds.

the reason they use like 5 or 6 decks of cards.
even if you are able to card count it some what

the odds of the deck are still not in your favor.
