There is something very strange about the GOP tax plan

Corporations pass on tax cost to us just like any other cost so there is no point in taxing them. It makes them lose focus, waste time and energy dodging/avoiding taxes rather than focusing on making the best products in the world. Do you understand?

Why do they expend energy/resources avoiding taxes they're just going to pass on to us anyway?

That makes no sense.

obviously fair is when everybody pays the same just like in the supermarket.

So ups, fedex, amazon use the roads a lot more than everybody else.

Heavy trucks.

Should they pay more than somebody who only rides a bicycle?

But folks do not pay the same at the supermarket - the supermarket may charge everyone the same retail price for a can of soup but if one is paying with tax free SNAP (EBT card) benefits then they are paying less than one who is paying with their hard earned minimum wage paycheck. Looked at in another way, one getting $10/hour is paying more than one getting $20/hour since the lower wage worker trades twice as much time working to earn that same can of soup.

because if they dodge avoid and evade taxes they can keep the money for themselves, and get ahead of competition that does not dodge, avoid and evade as well. Understand now?

yes and they do with gas taxes used to fund for example the highway trust fund

So let me get tthis straight.

Both just charge us for their tax burden.

So one just complies and charges us and one spends money reducing their burden and then charges us for that and their tax burden too?

What is the difference to the consumer?

subject was about everyone paying same price for can of soup and or govt, not the percent of their income paid for soup or govt .

I see, so you want taxes to be a fixed amount just like a can of soup is - brilliant plan but that is just not going to happen.

yes this is why a Rolls Royce costs you more than an apple. It costs more to make a Rolls and that cost in metal and taxes etc is obviously passed on to you in price of Rolls. Now do you understand?

if one just complies, and the other avoids and avoids, the one that evades and avoids has more money to destroy competition with lower prices, new manufacturing equipment, new stockholders, more advertising etc. Now do you understand?

subject is not whether it will happen, but whether it should happen. Do you understand?
