US govt was not blind it simple was trying to win the war by allowing trade with the enemy that they concluded would benefit us more than the enemy. This may be too subtle for you to grasp. In war you make decisions like that every day. You send 1000 men into battle to die hoping they will kill 2000 before they die.

The fact you claim Hillary and sanders are the same proves you have no idea what you're talking about. Clinton is a center-right corporatist. So is Obama. So was Bill.

They have a more liberal approach to the livestock, but no interest in them not BEING livestock.

of course that's 100% absurd and liberal. Central govt just went from $2 trillion to $4 trillion and still Hilary wants more, namely, free lib socialist college education for all.

She and Sanders are both very comfortably in same party and both want same thing just at a different pace. Not remotely central right at all!!! Live and learn!!

In war, it's best to NOT send the men into battle if there's ways to win where you don't need to risk their lives. You don't "support the military" by giving them all the toys they want and then gleefully sending them off to war - you support the military by ensuring they have what they NEED (as opposed to what they WANT (see Eisenhower's last speech)), and by making damn sure they aren't sent where they aren't needed.

The term socialism was coined long before Marx. Marx thought that socialism was a transition period between capitalism and communism. That does not mean Marx re-coined the word. He simply coined a economic social system was reachable only if reached socialism first.

Ummmmm... You think countries such as Romania, Russia, Hungary, Germany, China are more "Socialistic" and or "Communistic" than they were during the Cold War?
Also I would argue than none of those countries were really socialist or communist. But thats a totally different debate for another time.

no no you missed the point!! Democrats become liberals then progressives then socialists then communists. Once they see the death and destruction of liberal communism and they have no more communism to try there is of course the possibility, at that point, they will turn to the only known alternative: capitalism. Do you understand?

No, we can forever main in-between, the point Marx was making there is that you can't go straight from capitalism to communism. You can't just all of a sudden tell the people, this property is the state's, and you own the state, you just took their property, they feel screwed, and are much more likely to revolt in anger. With Socialism you speak about the general good of the community, and that sounds just to all of us, and we have soft property ownership, you can't just go from the boiling point to the freezing point without hitting the middle. Now a Socialist regime can slowly shift to be more, and more communist, not all people within a philosophy have the exact same ideas, not every Socialist is a bleeding at the heart Communist in the closet.

They didn't replace it with more communism, the USSR failed, it crashed, and burned due to corruption, and overall weakness. Is the murderer, the same as the batterer, well tell me, if they both commit violence (I realize this is a terrible analogy) are they the same, if both apes, and men are primates, are they the same? Russia is a hell of a lot more capitalist than it has ever been in its entire history, they are more free, than ever, in comparison to the Soviet Union. They have replaced communism with more capitalism, you have it backwards.

CORRECTION : UNION OF SOVIET SOCIALIST REPUBLICS

Soviet Socialism is not what we consider the modern idea of Socialism. Listen, the Democrat party of today, is not the Democrat party of 188 years ago that elected Andrew Jackson, they have evolved, like many parties, over time, things change, there are conflicts, and whichever side comes out more popular, is the majority opinion in the party. Also Soviet Socialism was never real Socialism, even when it began, it never truly embraced Socialism.
