This thread is to be used only to notify members of the Constitutional Convention of a new official thread. Whenever an official thread is created, the Sec'y will post the Notification List (the series of empty quotes from each member that causes them to get a notification) in a post with a link to the thread and a brief description of the thread.

The link and description will appear *before* the Notification list so members don't have to scroll through the list to see what thread has been created

Good grief. How many more threads are there going to be in this forum?

You have my permission to ignore any threads you are not interested in.

Sorry, Sangha, I'm feeling particularly bah hum bug this morning. It's not your fault and you're obviously really into this (Mr. President :D) but I'm in the process of copying all the the threads in this forum having exactly zero to do with the US Constitution and it's a lot. I can't help but wonder why this couldn't have all been done in a private user group, but you're right. This is not the place to talk about that.

I have asked the DP mods to set up a forum for this, but until then I am not able to set up a private user group or setup some special area for us, or stop anyone from starting a thread.

It's the freaking internet, for crissakes. People are going to talk about things you think are silly, stupid, unimportant, etc. Deal with it.

I don't mean to say it's silly, stupid or unimportant. I don't actually think that. I truly give you all credit for putting the time and effort into this that you are and I agree with you that this should, at least, have its own sub forum.

You know what's funny? I was going to suggest that very thing in Feedback. Now I've copied all those links for nothing. :2mad:

Sorry for being all pissy this morning. I'll bow out now.

Thanks to the powers to be.
I subscribed to the sub forum, hoping others will do the same. It will cut down on the sec's work load having to notify everyone of new threads/polls.

I agree that's a good idea or at least subscribing to threads dealing with topics that are of specific interest to you.

Having the sec'y have to manually draft notifications when the technology is there to self notify just doesn't seem a good use of his time.

I believe the notification list is nothing more than bit of text the Sec'y can cut and paste into a post. The only work is to post the link (also a cut and paste job) and write a brief summary for the thread (which I will supply when it's a thread I create)

Is there any notifications pending at this time?

Oh boy, a thread to tell people about threads.

I seem to have been dropped from the "My ideas are important too. d0gbreath".
