http://www.foxnews.com/us/2017/08/01/charge-man-hid-girlfriend-in-freezer-lived-with-impostor.html

A man stored his girlfriend’s body in a freezer with the help of another woman -- who then assumed the dead woman’s life by moving into her home, using her credit cards and caring for her dog, an Ohio prosecutor said.

Maybe it's just me but the whole "killed his GF and stored her body in the freezer" thing is a significant sign that he may be dysfunctional to some extent...possibly dangerous. Why would some woman, KNOWING that he has a prior GF in the freezer, choose to date him? I mean, this isn't some case of "he leaves the seat up but I think I can break him of the habit" kind of thing.

I realize that a lot of women (and men) get it into their head that they can "fix" their partner but.....DAMN!

Many times I hear of violent offenders in our penal system who have woman that are very loving/loyal. Heart wants what the heart wants..........

Because she is most likely just as nuts as he is. Two peas in a pod, hopefully both will be in jail soon for a very long time.

Yeah. That.

It's like dating someone that talks crap about their ex. Think they're not gonna do that to you?

Why do you hate love?

;)

If you ask me and what I’ve seen about criminals dating….Power.

It felt powerful yet tantalizingly dangerous(romantic) to be on the nice side of a psychopath which is arousing and rationalized as intense love, additionally she felt empowered as she could report him if he got out of line and had a tinge of just being better(boost to the ego). So goes her thinking is this seems so great (and more emotional stimulating then past relationship) and if only I can humanize him and understand him(this will be perfect -> ego inflation) and I sure no other women will take him as he's so hard to love, so he will not leave me (huge fear driving many single people into odd choice) ...the result of our unique mix of absentee male influence, romanticism and isolation...

I remember back in the day, some guys as a condition of parole but history of violence against women, had as part of their conditions the need to have their old offences read and gone over with any new relationships. The women were completely un-phased and convinced they’d be different (often there was more than one) but you should have heard some of the sick things being said, including in one case literally stabbing them to death over paranoia…it was really something you had to see to believe. Criminals tended to get a lot of women, almost right out of jail. Seemingly pro-social otherwise successful women too…romanticism about danger is a hell of drug.

The apartment was leased to Shannon Graves whose sister appears to have spearheaded the investigation because the family had not seen her for some time and that wasn't like Shannon as she wasn't around for her birthday, Father's Day and Easter earlier this year which were always times she spent with family. Her sister filed a missing persons report and according to local coverage informed authorities that she had been dating Arturo Novoa and he had been living with her. After the sister filed a missing persons report, neighbors claim in that timeline there was a lot of police presence in the area like shining lights into the windows of the apartment in early morning hours. Which in my opinion probably sparked Novoa to ditch the freezer. According to local reporting he asked a friend to keep a padlocked freezer. The friend became suspicious, discovered the woman's remains and called authorities. Once the authorities heard the name Arturo Novoa it was pretty obvious that the body inside the freezer was Shannon Graves but in a couple of days that will be officially verified.

They asked Novoa about the freezer and he said he didn't have a freezer but they found the key to the padlock to the freezer on his key
ring.

Why a 34 year old woman would allow herself to engage in roleplaying to be Shannon Graves wearing her clothes, driving her car, using her cellphone etc. is beyond my comprehension whether she knew about the murder or not. But I am sure the rest of the story is right around the corner.

These cases fascinate me because it involves behavior that is just surreal.
