Chivalry

On the opening of the car door thing.

I was with a female friend of mine visiting another friend of mine and his girlfriend.

The girlfriend, when she went to get in the car, stood outside the closed door waiting for my friend to come from the other side to open it before she got in. It was obvious she was trying to train him.

After they had left, my friend tried that with me. She waited outside the car waiting for me to open the door.

I drove off.

I honestly don't know why I think that but it has always hit me the same way.

I don't know why the woman wants the man to spend $100.00 for flowers she will be able to smell for 2 or 3 days then have to throw away.

It seems like a huge waste.

By the way this feeling was made clear in every relationship I have ever had so evenif they wanted flowers, they weren't getting them from me.

That's what my mom says.

I think guys just assume roses are the way to go, but I'd rather a vase full of wildflowers or something.
 
I know a couple that take the car door opening to the next level. I was watching them walk to their car. He opened the door for her and then fastened her seat belt for her. That's just weird.
