Your Dating "Preferences" Are Bigoted

Half of dating is buying into a lie. We all sell something we are not when playing that game. And, like I said, what difference does it make if you are attracted to them?

If you're attracted to someone who is trans, maybe it's on. you.

There is a hell of a lot of difference between being lied to about someone being male or female and being lied to about say big boobs. Not even ****ing close dude.

Oh and stop with the whole trans thing. The idea here is that they looking to pass of as women and not have anyone know the difference. Some of them can actually pull this off and DO trick people into thinking they are female in their everyday life or even in dating.

And I never sell something I am not when dating or in my life. I am me and what you get is me. If you're out lying to girls about who you are then that is on you. Not everyone wants to sell a lie to people.

Just a question, but...

You do realize that these people can't actually tell you're not a woman, right? They are basically being tricked by your appearance and diagnosing and treating the situation in a way that they otherwise would not. In that way they could actually be attracted to a man and not even know it. Don't you see how that is a bit questionable in terms of moral behavior on your part?

Kinda like 365 days of Halloween...

I would say tricking someone into believing they are females when they are actually males who identify as females is probably wrong. But, that is not the question. The question was if you're attracted to someone, why should it matter if they are trans or not.

I argue that if I am attracted to someone, I am attracted to them. If I find out later they are a dude, I'd maybe say, "No ****." But, it is what it is. It's on me.

That's depending on your feelings staying the same, which they likely won't with the new knowledge in hand. Regardless, it matters quite a bit if they are male or female. This isn't simply fake boobs we are talking about here, but a question of what they actually are and what they're not.

Hmm, we may not have to go so far as assault, you just need a good dose of AC Slater and Zack Morris

Well, I am preprogramed to lust after Mario Lopez (proof a man can get by on looks alone), prefer Hispanic guys to date, but have friends of all types. So the answer is no.

Oh, I'm sure it would change my feelings rather quickly. But, the point is I was attracted. And, that is the issue. I'd certainly explore that reaction before I went off and blamed the other person for how I felt.

lol...I guess I am so sure of the fact that I would not be attracted to a trans person that if by some chance I was, I'd have to examine it.

Here's my problem with that video. It makes the argument that "People are more than just their genitals". And that's true. And relationships are more than just sex.

But the main thing dividing a romantic relationship from a relationship between friends is sex. And I'm not sexually attracted to penises, or to penises that have been surgically altered into vaginas. So I would be glad to be friends with a trans person if they're a cool person, but I'm not going to have sex with them, and that means a romantic relationship is off the table.

If that makes me a bigot, then so be it, I'm a bigot.

You likely wouldn't still be attracted though. That attraction would probably disappear faster than ice near an active volcano. You also have all the reason in the world to blame them since it's entirely their fault.

Is it?

Idiocy. The person in the video needs a lesson in what the word "bigot" means.

*Patiently awaits Social Justice Warrior stupid enough to bounce in here and call damn near every single person posting in this thread a bigot.*

I don't care what a rude bigot in a video has to say about who I am attracted to.

That's just it. If you're not attracted to someone, you're not attracted to them. Not much you can do about it.

Dear Trans folks. If you do not want people trying to change you, stop trying to change others.

I don't think I've ever agreed with you. Until now.
