She tries to mimic me in a lot of ways. When she first came here two months ago, she was wearing contact lenses and then a month later, she starts wearing glasses like me. I chew gum, she starts to chew gum. I say hello to everyone, she starts saying hello to everyone. I wear jewelry, she starts wearing jewelry.

We also make a lot of eye contact, and she smiled at me once when I greeted her. She also pays attention to me a lot like whenever I'm talking to someone and make a comment that seems to surprise her, she would turn her head in my direction if I'm nearby.

When she says hi to me, it's in a different voice than when she says hi to the customers or to another coworker. It's more of a hushed hi or goodbye as in she's holding something back.

I really like her, but does she like me back? I'm trying my best to get her to go on a date with me.

You would have to ask her. Girls often don't realize they are giving off "signs" and simply might just enjoy being your friend. I don't think these things are too blatant, and it could just be that she is your friend. The only real sign you'll know is if she says yes, and even then, who knows. :lamo

For crying out loud, don't grab her by the *****. That's a Big Donald Trump No-No.

I tried to get her number but she tried to pull a prank on me. She knew ahead of time that I was going to ask for her number so she and this other coworker made up this elaborate prank in which she would have given me his phone number instead hers. The plan failed failed because another friend overheard them and told me.

Don't date at work.

Don't date at work.

This is probably the best advice. If it is a serious job, you will most likely be there longer than the relationship will last and it will be awkward.

It's a minimum wage job and I'm leaving in about 8 months. I really want to take her with me when I move to my new job.

Whoa, you might want to see her a few times outside of work, and hang out before you decide to 'take her with you'.

I'm just going to throw this out there....like a wild and crazy idea....ask her out. Say something along the lines of "would you like to join me for a coffee" and see where that goes.

If "your best" is posting about it on the internet you need to up your game.

Come on, "Warlock"...put a spell on her, for god's sake. LOL!!

Seriously, though, it sounds like both of you are young and it sounds like she plays games. Call her bluff. Ask her out. If she says yes, be yourself, have fun. See where it goes. If she says no, then just be friendly at work and leave it at that.

But if she says, "No," then it's OK to go ahead and grab her by the, well, you know what. Stare her in the face and say, "Look Bitch, this town's not big enough for the both of us."

It sounds like you have your answer.

Alright, when I see her, I'll ask her out! How about "Hey, do you want to grab some coffee with me this Saturday?"

Re: There's this girl at my workplace who likes me?

No! No grabbing anything!

Well, that's what another forum member suggested. I'd say sure, but hey...make sure that the both of you like coffee. LOL!!

Me? I'd take her to get a milkshake.

But why wait till Saturday? Why not ask her out for coffee today...when you get off work? While y'all are sitting there, drinking your coffee, getting to know each other...THEN you could suggest you do something together on Saturday. Maybe something a little more active like playing frisbee in the park or, if you have some kind of "Saturday Market" in your town, ask her to spend the afternoon walking and shopping.

Avoid work area relationships, period.

Whatever, specifics never matter. As Oprhan said, be yourself and have fun and relax.

To paraphrase a somewhat vulgar expression they used to say around the water cooler: "Don't defecate where you eat". "Where you eat" refers to your job. Stay far, far away from this. Don't touch her with a ten foot pole, or even an eleven foot Italian.

The only exception to this being that it's a job that you don't care about. If you do pursue this, start looking for another job.
