I'm happy to announce that I have officially recovered from COVID-19!
eace I've got antibodies now, which is cool! I've got my shield of protection, I guess. :shoot Don't really know if that means I shouldn't get a vaccine when it comes, but it might be best to get one anyway. I only dealt with symptoms for a handful of days, and I've felt just fine ever since the pressure on my chest (that was making it a bit difficult to gulp air) went away. I'm glad my symptoms were only mild at the worst, and that they went away in short order. That's also why I'm not referring to myself as a "survivor"; doesn't really fit my case when other people have/are struggling so much more than I did. I'm also very happy that my girlfriend and sister were asymptomatic, and they didn't have to deal with any symptoms or issues. I'm
also glad that I didn't give it to mine or my girlfriend's parents. Year2late mentioned the idea of donating my blood plasma to me, to help out struggling COVID-19 patients, but unfortunately, I only weigh 95 pounds, which is below the required weight limit to donate. My sister and my girlfriend have decided that they will donate their blood plasma in my place, since I can't.
I don't have to quarantine myself anymore, so that's good! I need to do some shopping for my apartment; I'll be moving in on the 16th! Gonna be so weird going back to college, with all of the new social-distancing rules. But hey, at least I won't be living on campus anymore! Hopefully having contracted COVID won't lead to any future medical issues in the long term, but I'm staying optimistic about it. Yee-haw! :cowboy:
