Twitter temporarily blocked the Trump election campaign account from tweeting until it removed a post with a video clip from a Fox News interview from Wednesday morning, in which the president urged schools to reopen, falsely claiming that children are "almost immune from this disease."

Facebook also removed a post containing the same video from Trump's personal page. Both Facebook and Twitter said the post violated their rules on COVID-19 misinformation.

So they took down a mainstream media interview with a sitting president? WTF?

Liberals are so full of crap. lol!

You need to do two things...

1- Read the report you commented on.
2- Get a dictionary and look up "misinformation" and "immune".

After that, look at your lean and decide if you want to say that you're slightly full of crap.

Look up "almost."

As in: "almost immune from this disease."

Your post is "almost" smart.

Boycott Twitter until they ban Tweety. Enough is enough.

If you want to ban misinformation, start by deleting your account ... lol!

I don't think you can be "almost immune."

You can be resistant, but "almost immune" doesn't make sense.

Most of those kids going to school will catch the virus from each other, like those 250 kids did in Georgia last week.

Very few of them will die. Maybe 1 out of 10,000 will die. I wouldn't want to be the parent of that child.

So Trump lied. He knew the truth, but he fabricated a lie. It was intentional, to get kids back in school, so as to get the economy going.

Fake news. I have only violated the ToS once, and that was a breaking news warning. Punkinhead violates Twitter ToS more often than he raw dogs porn stars before paying them off.

How many kids under 20 die in car accidents annually per capita?

Regardless, my point is made. If you have to parse the word "almost" to justify censorship of a sitting U.S. official, then you're on the wrong side of the censorship issue. You seem like a reasonable poster. You don't seem to just ape talking points. I appreciate that about you.

But I think you're missing the real problem here: The censorship of the president's words is far more dangerous than Trump's "misinformation."

The CDC stats are fake news? Really? Which stats are incorrect?

No. it is Habitual, meaning they cannot control themselves and will lie even when there is no purpose to it. Sadly when one lives a life based on lies their life is wasted. There is help for it but Narcissist's don't have the ability to see that they are flawed in any way what so ever so hence will never seek help.

Almost immune? Seriously? Is that like almost pregnant?
You can't be almost immune, you either are immune or not. It's not even like slightly immune. Lots of adults get the virus without symptoms too but they can still spread it. That's not immunity, it's not almost immunity.

Can Trump stop lying?

At this point I no longer trust any politician on the subject of coronavirus, all of them are spinning half-truths and misrepresentations.

And I renew what I have been saying on this subject for a very long time now, if we are looking to Twitter and Facebook to be "arbiters of truth" (article) then we are in a world of pain going forward as those organizations are ran by other people with their own motivations and political views.

If someone really did a solid fact check of social media these days including bumper sticker memes floating around 99.99999% or more of posts would disappear and about all we'd have left is family pictures, terrible jokes, dinners out, and cute puppies and kittens.

He's making the case that schools need to be open, because idleness and delays are more harmful to kids than the virus. He's correct about that. The stats back that up. That's why he said "almost immune." The intent of his comment is pretty clear. Taking it down is 100% unjustified!

Disagree, putting out misleading and outright false information is dangerous because there is always a segment of nonthinkers that will consider it as truth and act accordantly which can result in more suffering and death needlessly. Oh and it does not matter if he is the President or an average citizen, I like that they are treating him the same as they would anyone else. I'll put it to you this way, opening the schools completely will result in the same as it is working out for most sports that are trying to do the same or cruise ships reopening.

Not only were his comments not false, they were not really misleading either, as the chart I shared fully demonstrates. If you can't drop disproven narratives, then you can't arrive at the truth.

I don't care about trumpster deflections. I actually work to solve the crisis.

By ignoring data and clinging to a debunked narrative? What will that solve? It's funny that you call a direct refutation of your point "deflection." lol!

Iirc, the conservative market segment determined reality had a liberal bias about 20 years ago.

lol

I remember when science and facts were a conservative thing.

No, by working in science. I do sometimes torture Tweetyborg as a pressure release, though.
