Trump's Denial and the Denial of his cult regarding COVID-19.. has contributed to a great atrocity in America among the other Atrocities that he and his Cult has caused and created. He still does not know when to shut the hell up and let the Medical Professionals Speak.

He's going to get a lot of Kids in bad situations and if these kids lose their parents... will Trump take his claim of having money and provide for them? Putin may not allow the Oligarch's to give Trump any more loans, and Putin may stop paying him any day now.

Roundup has been around for years. For use on non food supply products.

It was the usage on food products that is the issue.

No real surprises there for anyone that follows epidemiology, except I hadnt read before that the "common cold" may not be as old as we thought (altho the rhinoviruses have been around for ages) and may have come from cows in the late 1800s.

We already deal with this stuff. As the article said, we have only eradicated one disease, smallpox, and otherwise, humans and microbes adapt to each other. You can never tell what and when something will arise...even today we anticipate another super-virulent strain of the flu. If anything, this event is a clear indication that we are NOT prepared for that.


This is the barely coherent and grammatically inept speech of a man who desperately wants to be able to claim that he "cured coronavirus."

That's it, in a nutshell. When we do get a handle on this crisis, he wants to be able to pull out footage and declare "I called it! I said use this! I said try this! I told them to do this, it was my idea!" He's just doing it with lots of stupid stuff because he doesnt want to miss an opportunity. He's afraid 'the big one' will be mentioned and he wont get credit for it.

It's probably never completely going away just like the common cold (another coronavirus) never goes away.

Coronaviruii have a tendency to mutate, which is why you need a new flu shot very fall.

All that said, vaccine's, treatments, and mitigation steps do work to minimize lethality and severity.

Sadly, this is very true.

When the critical points are considered: 1) people are catching it again, immunity, like the flu, is roughly 3-6 months whether from recovering from it or whatever vaccination comes along, like with the flu, 2) it is much more contagious than the flu, 3) it is 16.57 times more deadly than the flu (IFR of 0.58% compared to the flu's 0.035%) thus "pandemic" status will remain, 4) too many anti-vaxers along with people who seriously don't want to take a rushed vaccine and thus, coupled with point 1, herd immunity is a fantasy ...

... It's clear that our greatest hope is that the more infections there are the more likely mutations will occur, mutations that in real life eventually end up reducing the IFR of COVID-19 .. and that will take time.

My guess, is that the White House knew this since Wuhan, Italy, and Spain, and some of the weird-ass recommendations regarding cures and masks from Washington has simply been to keep hope and the economy up and panic down for as long as possible .. while the inevitable spread occurs .. as we gradually get accustomed to this depressing "new normal".

I would never have used such of food products, I grew some vegetables, but the they have specific products for that.

I understood the issue with Round-up to be the cancer causing agents that people who did lots of spraying where they got it on their skin or inhaled it led to strong complications over the term of usage. I've used it to kill weeds that grow up in joints of cement on the sidewalk or driveway... but that's very infrequently needed.

After all, Mr. Trump has just issued an Executive Order to ensure that American pharmaceutical companies can make the maximum profits out of shortage of supply situation that he just created.

Of course, there is always the possibility that the whole EO is a pile of political campaign crap since American companies do not have the capacity to produce enough of the drugs needed and that would mean that the choices would be:


  1. let people die due to shortages of medications (and hope that no one notices);

  3. issue exemptions left and right (and hope that no one notices).

The number of people INSIDE that circle who have an idea about what this virus is now is quite small.

The number of people INSIDE that circle who have an idea about what this virus is now AND who are willing to admit it in public (or where Mr. Trump might find out about it) is VERY small.

And it would get really "interesting" if the PRC insisted that all of the vaccinations be carried out by uniformed members of the PLA, at vaccination sites that had signs (which could be read from 50' away) that said "These life saving vaccinations are being provided, free of charge, to the PEOPLE of the United States of America by the People's Republic of China despite the efforts of Donald Trump to prevent it.". The signs would, of course be in English, Spanish, and Mandarin.
