Donald Trump:

'And it is what it is,” Trump said. “But that doesn’t mean we aren’t doing everything we can. It’s under control, as much as you can control it.'
===========================================================
From the Axios interview with Trump. This incompetent kept dismissing this pandemic until we now have 1,000 deaths each day.

A competent president would have immediately marshaled all the necessary resources - big pharma, university research labs, the military, wearing masks, etc. Shutting down the country.

But Trump is uneducated & could not grasp the magnitude of what he was dealing with. The result: nearly complete failure mixed with politics. And it will all just go away.

The new motto for Biden T-shirts: 'It is what it is.'

It is nothing, if you ignore all of the cases!

I could see it. A picture of Trump, with the slogan underneath. Perfect!

Why is it that every time I recommend shutting down the country I come off as sarcastic but every time someone talks about Trump they WANT him to shut down the country?

Months later healthcare workers are still having difficulty with PPE. We are still reusing N95s and wearing other masks for hours on end. And health care workers are still becoming ill from Covid.

But there is a flood of ventilators. That should count for something.;)

You should see some of the PPE we are getting.:lamo The gowns are misshapen - too short with long arms and ties in postions too low to reach, some are plastic with absorbant knit cuffs:lamo, the plastic can be as thin as saran wrap - but tear quickly, and out of the package they open inside out - meaning we have to manipluate them to put them on - if they do not tear first. I asked nurses at other hospitals - they had a lot of similar experiences. PPE should have been a priority.

But if we had a national call for masks, social distancing, discouraging crowds, hygiene measures....as well as appropriate PPE for healthcare workers......the need for prolonged shut down and screwing with the schools would not have been needed.

POTUS is disconnected from reality. But yes, he has done some things right.

No he did not.
You say

"He did not" meaning he didn't use his crystal ball and magic wand to make it happen imediately.

As he made his initial decisions Pelosi, Schiff and Schumer were all in on impeachment and challenging his decision on travel restrictions.

We flattened the curve before the end of April......no hospital was overwhelmed. We have ventilators we have testing, we have PPE all less than 100 days out. We had the Hope, the Comfort, and the National Guard field hospitals deployed to hot spots. We have and will have therapeutics and potentially vaccine way ahead of projections.

Had we relied on the CDC, WHO, and FDA we'd be much worse off.

Trump could have Declared Marshall law and Quarantined a 100 mile radius of NYC and LA not letting anyone in or out until there were no cases. That was his one mistake /s

If the maskers are correct, Trump should have a a national mask order in February and let the economy continue to flourish; no shutdown. That would rely on hind sight. Who would have thought 15 days to flatten the curve could turn into potentially most of a year or more. Trump let the genie out of the bottle.

What relevant big pharma, university, or military resources did Trump not marshal?

If Gavin Newsom can't make people in CA wear masks, how is Trump going to do that? Send in the Feds? Oh wait, never mind.

His 'one mistake'? And playing politics with masks? This guy is incompetent. It's 'going away.' How does he know that?

Incompetent, you say.

There is a huge level of incompetence in government that was there well before Trump. Another instance of it is what it is.

What have the CDC and FDA for example contributed to the Covid19 response? They were in the way initially, an obstacle to be overcome. Currently their "data" collection and reporting puts the agency's incompetence on full display.

Trump has done wonders with what is.

We all got a lesson on supply chains. We have been off shoring manufacturing especially for cheap disposable items for generations.

In Maine, Bath Iron Works, a company that usually builds battle ships built machines that could produce millions of specialty swaps used for Covid19 testing. Abbott labs is hiring 1000 people locally to fill a new plant to build testing equipment. They had already gone to 24/7 production. Companies all around the country producing needed items. Producing things not even conceived of 6 months ago. Do people even talk about ventilators anymore?

Is this the one Biden refuses to take? Come on now, if you are going to attack Trump then you also need to attack Biden for refusing to take one. Otherwise, you are admitting your bias.

:2funny:
Not only do you hate science and hate the government, you blindly accuse the FDA of something that they have no role in! The stuff COVID deniers say, you cannot make this up! :lamo

How difficult are N95s to protect health care workers?

Seriously? How long have we been crying for N95s. Across the country many hospitals are still significantly rationing. We are using them for weeks at a time. Disgusting.

He didn't reconstitute the NSA Pandemic Response Team that he disbanded

He didn't restrict travel from all the nation's that were being hit by Covid. Just the that is majority non white

He didn't have people returning from overseas quarantined or even tested

He didn't push for mandatory masks or lockdowns

He didn't start organizing a national testing and contact tracing program

Maybe it's because you post disingenuously every single day here so nobody takes you seriously

The test which President of the United States of America did not pass was his interview with Mr. Jonathan Swan.

Regards, stay safe 'n well. Remember the Big 3: masks, hand washing and physical distancing.

Europe is majority non-white?
