No, every "lib" knows that me wearing a mask doesn't do much to prevent me from catching COVID. So I wear a mask mainly to protect you. We "libs" point this out on every mask thread.

Ohio is under masking mandate - but you know better because you decided these numbers can be ignored... and despite the governor's order, you are both doing the opposite of what his orders state AND must be blaming him for Ohio not getting the pandemic down.

De'Wine's mask mandate isn't even a real mandate. You should read the actual order before commenting on it. All I need to do is eat a snack and I'm exempt from the mandate.

Are you referring to the exception for "those who are actively eating or drinking"?

So you don't wear a mask because you pretend to always be "actively eating and drinking". Whatever.

You are not following the order and what it's intended for. Whether you come up with dumb excuses along the way is not relevant to the debate.

Ahh but that's not true because I do not pretend to snack so as to dodge the order. Snacking was just an example, to prove how silly the order is. If covid were a real threat then snacking would be banned in favor of you keeping your mask on at all times. The order does not require one to wear a mask at home, in their vehicle, or at work if the facility is not a public space, which mine is not. That means the mask order doesn't apply to me 90% of the time.

That's what I mean when I say "the mask mandate isn't even a real mandate". You seem to think that a mandate means everyone wears a mask all of the time.

No, I don't think that at all. I know the order only applies to public spaces like going to grocery stores and based on what you had said, you don't wear masks then. And on very rare occasions that you do, you ON PURPOSE wear masks that have explicit recommendations against them as you are well aware.

Yes I do. it's a public space where social distancing cannot be maintained, so as per the order everyone in the building wears a mask, including me.

I just don't go to the store often, so it's not a large piece of my life.

I have concluded that people are stupid. A personal example is my company. People there are all told to wear masks. And, they do. Every one of them wears one as they walk the halls. But...

As soon as they get into the conference room, the idiots take them off and set the PPE on the table in front of them. So, now you have 6-10 guys sitting around a table, no masks, talking for over an hour. smh

I play rebel. Keep my mask on and sit in a chair far away from the rest of them. It's so bad though that I am considering to call into the meeting from my desk on the conference line, beginning next week, because I am sure that this outbreak is going to get much worse in the coming months.

Our schools sure are in flux. I’m retired, but would tutor on the net. The future timelines are formidable.

I have several N95, Home Depot masks and wear them everywhere. They get a little hot, but :shrug:

Do NOT buy a valved N95. It protects you, which is good, but your breath goes through the valve unrestrained, and so using a valve increases the risk you'll infect others if you have COVID. It defeats the entire reason we wear masks, which is primarily so that those with no symptoms but are contagious don't unknowingly spread COVID to others.
