I think most non stupid people have known for a while it's probably a good idea to wear eye protections along with the mask. It makes too much sense. I'm not sure why it's just now becoming trendy.

You sound like my stupid friend who thought he was good to go after testing negative. "You don't have to worry about me anymore, I tested negative". He really believes that.

Your situation is like getting home safely from a drive and saying "I never get into accidents, why am I wearing this stupid seatbelt?"

There is a difference between being in favor of the freedom to choose whether or not to wear a mask, and spreading dangerous misinformation that wearing masks doesn't reduce the transmission rate of COVID-19. In fact it does.

i already wear the mask and gloves in public. i've been thinking that the lab glasses might help. can't hurt.

My first foray back to Costco after a couple months of only doing curbside pickup. I was feeling ready to get back out into the world and really enjoyed walking around through my Costco again, picking up my favorite things.
I felt comfortable and pretty safe, until the guy loading my cart at checkout -wearing a mask-sneezed right into my fricking cart! Twice!
Um what to do? Leave the whole basket behind or just hope that covid getting through masks isn't really like a mosquito getting through a cyclone fence.
I took my purchase home.

I'm glad you are well!
