Walmart to require customers to wear masks at all its stores
NEW YORK (AP) — Walmart will require customers to wear face coverings at all of its namesake and Sam’s Club stores, making it the largest retailer to introduce such a policy that has otherwise proven difficult to enforce without state and federal requirements.
The company said the policy will go into effect on Monday to allow time to inform stores and customers. The Bentonville, Arkansas-based company said that currently about 65% its more than 5,000 stores and clubs are located in areas where there is already some form of government mandate on face coverings.
The retailer also said it will create the role of health ambassador at its Walmart stores and will station them near the entrance to remind customers without masks of its new requirements. These workers, who will be wearing black polo shirts, will receive special training to “help make the process as smooth as possible for customers.”

I wonder how many fist fights will break out between irate customers & 'health ambassadors.'
I hardly ever go to Walmarts, so mask or no mask is kind of irrelevant to me. I stop going several years ago as I got plain sick and tired of having to wait 30-45 minutes in line to check out. They have 30 registers, but only open up 5 or 6. My daughter is a big Walmart shopper, but she uses the on-line order and then goes to pick up her stuff which they do go out to her car. If I really need something from Walmarts that no other store has, then I'll order it on-line and have it shipped to me.
The funny thing about this is we also have a Sams which is great to shop at. Most of the time they have all their registers open. If not when a backlog of customers occurs, they'll open up more registers. Go figure, same company, but one makes checking out easy and fast as possible, the other seems not to care.
Not exactly on the subject of masks, but the mention of Walmart always gets my hackles up and it's time to rant.
