Hey guys. Some other dude didn't have COVID so that, I guess, makes this 30 year old who died not so bad.
Or something.
Yep.
But I wouldn't have necessarily used that gravestone on the left. . .
Sounds like he had a myriad of symptoms similar to covid - leaving him critically ill. Sounds like his MDs were working on an assumption,
What a faker!!!!! I mean to go to all the trouble of becoming critically ill during a COVID pandemic with all the similar symptoms!
Then to go to all the trouble of finding a hospital that would think all of these Covid symptoms were really covid. The nerve!!!
OK. Here it goes. In the real world an MD has a working diagnosis. The one test that would prove the case turns up negative. Guess what. This guy who had symptoms eerily similar to Covid was more than likely treated as if he had covid and isolated accordingly. They would treat him as a "PUI" probably until his symptoms eased and repeat tests were done.
Dude, you make yourself look really bad.
It will be interesting to see what made him so ill. But treat a person who escaped death from a now unknown disease as a faker? Damn.
 This would almost seem like a topic to post on the Covid-19 board.
we should all go back and comment in this thread about Rush Limbaugh lying about COVID. He and Trump (with their words) are causing deaths...
Here's why Rush Limbaugh is literally dangerous to Republicans
I beg to differ.Protesting masks and quarantine does not make one a dumbass.
a BIGGER dumbass. I would add that holding rallies in hotspots, and discouraging masking or social distancing, makes one a Dumbass-in-Chief.....going out in public without a mask and protesting in a crowd of hundreds who will not wear a mask is what makes one a dumbass.
Gee must be one helluva investigative reporter to find this person, what are the odds of a 30 yr old dying of this bug?

I have had two brain biopsies.....I mean covid tests. I can assure you I would rather have a swab up my ass rather than go through that again.:lamoMy own serologic test came back inconclusive despite an earlier MD Dx.
The diagnostic tests are not very good. They can usually detect the presence of the virus RNA, but are plagued by false negatives.
This isn't because the test is faulty. It's because there wasn't enough RNA where they swabbed.
Rectal swabs would work a lot better but obviously most people freak out at that notion, at least initially.
I imagine it depends on how sick you are?
The Dx tests can also give a false positive when all the active virus is gone and the patient is shedding old virus RNA fragments.
The serologic tests are also not very good either, not because of the tests (assuming it is a good test mfr) but because so many recovered victims do not always make a lot of IgG antibodies.
That's what happened in my case.
The full adaptive immune response takes a while and apparently lots of people clear the virus before the B-cells start making those antibodies.
It does not mean they are not immune: There are memory B-cells that might know how to make antibodies, but those cells never really got stimulated in time.
The fact is, a test with the kind of accuracy that you could set your watch by, Dx or serologic, would require live cell cultures and cost thousands of dollars per test.

Can you even imagine COVID testing if folks had to drop trou and bend over? OMG :lamo

I've said it before. I'll say it again. Believing Donald Trump is dangerous. Just ask the dead guy.

It’s not a board, but a sub-forum. This would almost seem like a topic to post on the Covid-19 board.
No test of this type is 100%. There are a significant number of false positives & negatives.
So you just admitted all your tests are bunk science, so how many infections does the US actually have and how many are really from the virus?

Seriously though. How stupid does one have to be to try to get a virus that is causing a pandemic?
