Famous last words of a 30-something Texan who tempted fate.

‘I think I made a mistake’: Patient who thought pandemic was a ‘hoax’ dies after going to ‘COVID party’ – Raw Story

According to WOAI, a patient in San Antonio, Texas in their 30s has died after going to a “COVID party” — a gathering of people who intentionally expose themselves to coronavirus to see for themselves whether the virus is real.

Per Methodist Healthcare Chief Medical Officer Dr. Jane Appleby, the patient’s final words to the nurse were, “I think I made a mistake, I thought this was a hoax, but it’s not.”

I've said it before. I'll say it again. Believing Donald Trump is dangerous. Just ask the dead guy.

 This would almost seem like a topic to post on the Covid-19 board.

I’ll give a trump-supporter-style response: “He obviously had underlying symptoms.”

If you ask me what my point is, I’ll ignore you.

Seriously though. How stupid does one have to be to try to get a virus that is causing a pandemic?

That's horrible (which is Trump's favorite word.) Where does Trump stand on this?

Gee must be one helluva investigative reporter to find this person, what are the odds of a 30 yr old dying of this bug?

They're killing themselves to stick it to the Hated Librulz. I never thought I'd see a segment of society go so far off the deep end, but I suppose I should have trusted history to repeat itself.

God damn.

Hey guys. Some other dude didn't have COVID so that, I guess, makes this 30 year old who died not so bad.

Or something.

Read your associated source link to the original story. Your source presents a prejudiced narrative.
The doc was & is diagnosed with Covid, despite the negative test. The test is only one indicator, and false negatives occur all the time. It's the treating MD's that make the diagnosis, not the tests.

Sure, that’s why he also tested negative for antibodies! Must be a special case eh!

No. He's a normal Covid case. The tests & their validity are a separate issue. Many Covid patients have multiple false negatives. That's why docs make the diagnosis, not the tests.

Nonsense, he certainly would have access to the best testing available including approved antibody testing which proved he never had the virus.

If you don't understand the science, there's little more I can do to help.
