This is from the Texas Medical Association:

Textbook perfect communication of public health risk in this pandemic.

Very practical, demonstrates that all behaviors are risky, but some are more risky than others, and shows why if you eat outside at a restaurant it doesnt mean you exposed yourself to risk already so you might as well attend that megachurch service with the potluck buffet.

We need much more of this, and apparently individual states are going to have to do it, because the federal government has clearly given up working on this pandemic.

This is good. Why is golf not more on the low risk side? It's one golfer to a cart these day's. I usually play by myself or one other at the most. I spray down the cart before I use it. Maybe I'm missing something.

I got a letter in the mail today from Queens NY. I am a goner.

So it's official at least in Texas. As long as your gathering is a protest you have ZERO chance of getting covid 19 according to the Texas Medical Association.

1000 people can get together for a protest - and it is zero chance any of them will get covid-19 - UNLESS they meet in a church for their protest gathering and then they'll nearly all get infected because covid-19 targets churches.

Christian hating atheists are very psychological sick, bigoted people. Once again we see there is no reason to believe the so-called medical experts because they are just playing politics.

Flags, ball washers, 19th hole.....

They clearly urge people never to go to the doctor, don't they?

I can't remember a Medical Association before telling people that there is a very good chance that going to the doctor will kill you.

Whoever is made that list should be immediately fired and the list retracted because the person it a Democrat wacko at best.

Flags, ball washers, 19th hole.....

We don't take out the flags. a piece of foam is put in the hole so it is easy to get your ball out without touching anything. The rakes have been removed from bunkers. No ball washers or water currently offered. I pay online so I just show up and play. I feel like the 19th hole falls into the bar category. I leave a tip for the cart washers but don't let them touch my clubs.

Sounds low risk to you.

Touching stuff is minimal risk. It’s golfing on a foursome that’s higher risk, and Texas might not mandate one to a cart.

What the next step might be is to basically make people think of a risk budget.

You get, say 8 points per week. If you want to be safer or are at high risk, aim for a lower number.

Kids go back to school? You might want to cut back on eating out. You golf twice a week? Don’t eat at restaurants, etc etc.

Strangely, nothing mentioned about "gathering in large groups to demonstrate"...not even "with 500+ participants."

I guess protesting makes one immune. Go figure.

Whoop, whoop. Time to make another court reservation. Me and my hitting partner have an agreement: sadly, no socializing on the changeovers (he goes one way, I the other)....and no touchy-touchy with the balls other than the minimum necessary to put it in play. Besides, he hits the crap out of it; any virus left on it is demolished....on his side of the court. Too bad Djoker flaunted somecents and got himself tagged and maybe gave tennis a bad rap.

But you're right. This is an excellent PR campaign that puts things in real perspective.

They also didn’t mention the risk of sticking your nose as far as you can into Trump’s asshole.

But that seems to be one major factor in the spread in some states.

Going to beach, if you keep distance, would seem lower to me. Anything outside with distancing, and a mask, if not distancing, seems pretty safe.

Reading the list, I would equate walking in a protest to "walking a busy downtown" which would be at least "walking a busy downtown" (outdoor crowded walking would be the operative words). So not zero chance). And yes.....an indoor church with 500 plus unmasked people vocalizing like crazy and probably hugging/shaking hands. etc...yes...a significant risk)

They also don't mention riding on elevators or on public transportation.

Shhh. You are ruining his rhetoric spin. He is pretending that he is not able to draw any rational conclusions about protests from the chart.

Golf course in my neighborhood still has ball washers and flags out. I see them when I drive past. I don't play there so not sure what else they are doing or not doing.

Strangely as well, nothing mentioned about Trump rallies with 6,000 people inside, packed elbow to elbow without masks either.

I mean, if we're going to BUTWHATABOUT??!!! this IMO very useful list, might as well be complete about it. Does going to a Trump rally and ignoring the CDC social distancing and mask guidelines one immune, since it's not on the list?
