I didn't realize he went to that rally. He's a smart man and a self made man. I didn't know he supported that pig Trump. Disappointed. He sat in the black seats I guess.

That said, I wish him well and hope he gets better soon.

It's kind of hard to have any sympathy for these idiots, but I saw a diagram of how the ventilators are put into your lungs. I would not wish that on anyone.....Makes wearing a mask look like a great idea.

When you see so many in close proximity....I pray for his friends and family as well. No masks, no distancing. Indoors.:(

Yeah, it is not pretty. Luckily we usually sedate before intubation. Hopefully we will continue to have reasonable supplies of medication for sedation.
 
Tulsa rally was 20JUN20, twelve days later, right on schedule.

Hope there is a full recovery!
 
In the past few weeks, Tulsa County has seen a large increase in COVID-19 cases, especially in the younger population. The spike can largely be attributed to more people becoming lax on following CDC and THD best practices. Mask wearing, social distancing and frequent sanitation efforts remain the top way to prevent the spread of COVID-19 in our area.

Mayor Bynum signed an executive order today that extends the civil health emergency in the city of Tulsa. Tulsa continues to follow the State of Oklahoma’s OURS Plan, but the following items have been added to Tulsa specifically based on the updated City of Tulsa Executive Order:

All Tulsa bars and restaurant workers are required to wear masks while working beginning immediately.
Events planned on or after July 16 with more than 500 people or more must receive guidance from the Tulsa Health Department to evaluate safety plans for events in Tulsa. Health officials will work with event organizers on a case by case basis in making safe decisions as it relates to events in Tulsa. Event organizers can email covid19plans@tulsa-health.org. More information can be found at tulsa-health.org

In about a week Mayor Bynum will be adding more restrictions. Why are bars still open? Why would gatherings of 500 or more even be in consideration?
 
Hopefully cases like this will start to be a wake up call. Stories like this make it a little more real for those who didn't think this was real.

I hope that’s true. Because, out of all the attendees who could have gotten sick, it just happens to be a famous politician, not only that, a famous black politician

All I’m going to say is that some far-left nut better not have planted a sick individual at the rally

Sadly there are too many Americans who are lazy and want instant convenience over doing the right thing. There is still at least third of the country including the POTUS who fit into that category.

there was. Trump has the social distancing stickers removed and encouraged people to be flaming effing stupid. pretty foul by any standard.

Actually, there were several Trump staff and secret service who tested positive as well.

I think if there was any discussion of Cain being a ‘smart man’... this incident should put it to rest.

Of course, if we had contract tracing we could determine where people are likely to have been infected... Cain is definitely not the only person who has gotten sick that also attended the rally...
