Florida reports more than 10,000 new coronavirus cases, breaking another single-day record

Not even Mexico wants our sick Gringos. Good Gawd what an international embarrassment. Oh wait, after 3 years of Trump we are used to it!! Yes sir may I have another!!
Yeah, I forgot about Mexico. With Trump making his Presidency about keeping Mexicans out, it sure is ironic.

Don't even look at Texas for Florida-Man replacement... Some of us are fighting hard to keep Texas from claiming the title..

Here i am trying real hard not to just give up on Alabama lol.

The Mexicans are not seriously stopping people. My GF is Latina and her family is in SoCal and they’ve been visiting Mexico this whole time with US passports.

The graph I put out is wrong. I did not check it. The thing is that the chart I put up was extremely similar to the chart of the Covid-19 that I could not copy to put up but is in the link below/

Both of these charts are Covid-19. If you doubt this, check this link out:

Michigan coronavirus (COVID-19) cases up to 59,990; Death toll now at 5,770

Texas is testing people and having cases and not deaths. Michigan has three times as many deaths. And if Texas caught up with deaths in raw numbers (which would take a month at this rate) it would still be half the rate. So what’s your argument? That if your leadership saw deaths 2 months ago there’s nothing wrong with it?

Do they lie at the border? Canada allows Americans who say they need to get to Alaska because they live or work there to drive through Canada if they take the shortest route possible and observe safety protocols. 7 people, mostly from Texas, were arrested in Banff National Park and fined $1200 each and escorted back to the border. I live on a remote island at the end of the road and last week a car with California plates got off the ferry. I haven't heard if the RCMP found them yet.
Some Americans, apparently, hold the laws of other countries in contempt.

Aww man, if we lose our dumbest State, how are we going to get those entertaining Florida-Man news stories?

Miss Sippy or West Virginia would compete for the role. In fact, those two states are much worse than Florida, which has a lot of idiots but a lot of good people as well.

How do you know what they were doing was illegal?

Maybe they had a valid reason and told border authorities the truth.

They could’ve

A) been Americans with Canadian residency or dual citizenship
B) had family
C) been doing some kind of work
D Canadians borrowing or having purchased a US vehicle.

I dunno I see lots of BC plates down here in America again after never seeing them for the last 2 months.

As far as Mexico, I dunno, Amor told me her brother has been going to Tijuana frequently over the last few months. Now he may be a Mexican citizen and I asked her that but she says even though he was born in Mex he only has US identification. But from what it sounded like to her it seemed Mexican Authorities like normal are not really that inquisitive. See in Mexico most of the time you can drive in to the country without stopping and showing your ID.

Plus there’s many businesses in Mexican border towns that basically exist only for US customers, pharmacies, liquor stores, jewelry etc

The crime is our Governors gross incompetence and being a Trump flunky. He still refuses to make a State wide mask mandate.
DeSantis is following Trump's lead. Trump washed his hands & punted to the governors, and now DeSantis and other governors are punting to the cities. It's the new American shirking-responsibility form of governance. And, it comes from the top.

Anecdotal evidence is worthless in debate. A quick Google will tell you all you need to know.

Bottom line is still the fact that Trump has been incompetent in handling the virus. He has not recommended following CDC guidelines and that opened the door for a whole lot more infections and deaths. That may vary from state to state and governor to governor but the reality is that Trump is the President and it is he that is supposed to set up the guidelines for the nation according to the CDC, which is the group that in in charge of pandemics in the U.S.

Pointing to one Governor or the other does not change the fact that Trump has not supported the CDC as he should have. He is ultimately where the buck stops and many deaths are on his shoulders. I pointed specifically to DeSantis because he is the governor of MY state and I know his story well. He follows Trump blindly in everything the President says and his results mimic what Trump believed needed to be done. DeSantis failed meaning that Trump failed.

End of story.

Are you aware Texas just set a record high daily death at 52, that's over twice where they were just two weeks ago (24). Deaths follow infection. The number of deaths will continue to go up for maybe 6 weeks after mitigation. That's if the new mitigation is enough, of which I have my concerns.

FL, TX, AZ, all the hotspots are seeing their daily deats ris.

In April Trump announced proudly he closed the Southern Border. The part he omitted was this, it was done at the request of Mexicos President. Go home sick Yankee!!

Florida’s Department of Health on Thursday confirmed 10,109 additional cases of COVID-19, breaking another single-day record and pushing the state’s total confirmed cases to hit 169,106.

Previously, the highest single-day total was reported on Saturday with 9,585 cases.

Access Denied

====================================

Wow. This is what happens when you do not take enough precautions and when you open up again too soon.

The link says "access denied" but you should be able to get to the article.

And, Trump falls two more points in that state as a result.

More protesting and everyone stop working is the democrat solution to this pandemic. Unbelievable. Of course the rest of the world has already proven they can go back to work. Well if you are responsible and not standing shoulder to shoulder for hours like idiots spreading this disease.

I say we have even more protest and get rid of all the idiots at the same time.

Marone!

This would seem to indicate FL's (as the others') increasing record rates last week were not statistical aberration. Well, know how this game works - today's mitigation will not reveal itself for a month, or more. If indeed it's even enough mitigation? The next few weeks will be the tell. Some of these states may already have signed a deal with the Devil.

If there's anything good to come of this, at least it forced mitigation in time for the Fourth. Open society through the Fourth might have really sealed the deal.

My son, who is a studio musician in L.A. (Piano), tells me when he plays a outside gig at a club/bar, the people seem to very conscientious until the 2nd set. "Dad, they act like responsible people and all that until they consume a decent amount of alcohol.....then they turn into horny jungle monkeys who throw all caution to the wind while they hang all over and feel up each other"
I should have thought about that part regarding bars. Makes sense. :)

The most of the world took the advice of the experts and stay closed down longer and had contact tracing working when they opened up. We did neither and it is all Trumps fault. He is the one who pressured Governors to open when the CDC guidelines were not met and refused to help the States with contact tracing. You are parroting Trump and so are part of the problem also. There was no marked increase in cases from the protests, it now appears that large indoor gatherings, bars and restaurants are the drivers of this spike in cases.

52 a day out of a state of 20 million people is numbers you fear monger over.

And besides, we know where all those cases came from, which was the irresponsible protests over George Kirdy (or Floyd Taylor, or whatever his name was)’s poor health.

Because the average of these new cases is in the 30s or below and it happened three weeks after mass protests and not three weeks after the reopen date.

As long as you wear a mask and stay 6 ft away! :2razz:

Too bad social distancing doesn't work for people doing a job. That virus is like the 10th plague in the bible. It doesn't affect protestors well at least the democrat protestors.

As long as you wear a mask and stay 6 ft away! :2razz:

The millions of protestors shoulder to should did not spread this virus it was all Trumps fault trying to responsibly let people go back to work. I remember that it was supposed to be up to the state government. Oh wait if it turns out bad it is Trumps fault. My mistake.

Like the idiots at a Trump rally ?

You best hope those protesters do not decide to vote in Nov. Scary eh, black folk voting. That alone has Donny crapping his XXL Depends.

That is why bars in Florida can't sell alcohol and there is $500 fine for bringing alcohol on the beach They are not closed though
