Good News! COVID-19 no longer exists in Italy!

Some positive news for the world has emerged today from Italy. Reuters reported that the head of the San Raffaele Hospital in Milan “in the northern region of Lombardy, which has borne the brunt of Italy’s coronavirus contagion” expressed optimism at the state of the virus. “In reality, the virus clinically no longer exists in Italy,” said Alberto Zangrillo.

If true that's great news. But I'd have to see alot more than just a random italian doctor's claims before I believe it.

You should read the original source instead of the rigt wing conspiracy theory source.

In other words, it is still there, people are getting sick, but the amount of virus is way down when people are infected.

So 2 months ago when doing a swab, let's say there was 100000 bits of virus. Now there is 1000...does not mean the virus is gone does it now?

Good news! In spite of having had one of the worst numbers of deaths from COVID in the world Italy is now having practically no deaths from the VIRUS by comparison with earlier numbers.

Of course it is good news, but they also locked down the country to Chinese lite terms. Same with Spain, who has no deaths for several days now. Does not mean that the virus is gone, as there are still infected people and new people being infected. Hence the OP title is wrong.

Well, people are still dying in Italy of COVID.... Just look anywhere that tracks the data. :shrug:
 
Even if it does spread over 50% won't even know they have it.

Hopefully no covid-vulnerable people are mixed in with the looting and burning crowds.
