You can for China? How so? Have you lived there? I lived in SG for 6-7 years, seriously look at their numbers... you have no idea how SG is controlled by a single family and cronies!

Same here in Indiana. In fact a swimming pool open to the public in Warsaw Indiana was taking group pictures. Local health inspector is quoted as saying we need to implement herd immunity.

But then this is the state that put Trump over the top in the primaries and I have people around me flying Trump flags.

I get stared when I go out with a mask on. I could care less.
 
When it comes to COVID, Trump is at war with his own government.

De Blasio and his government completely failed the people of New York. It took teachers about to walk off the job, and his health advisors ready to resign in protest to get him off his heels and start implementing measures to stop the spread. His reticent behavior cost thousands of lives in New York alone, not to mention the fact that it then spread from there to other cities all over the country.

The NYCTA didn't implement any commonsense safeguards for their employees and admonished those who tried to do so on their own - they had to stop much of the bus service because so many drivers and transit workers were out sick and essential workers were forced to pack themselves inside crowded subway cars... it was one screwup after another.

Both groups are acting stupidly, aren't they? It's a pandemic and they're both gathered in large numbers with saliva everywhere from yelling (riots) and swimming (Ozarks).

Masks are intended to be effective along with the 6 foot distancing rule. If your up in someones face who is a spreader, no cheap mask will help you.

Same here. Businesses in Indiana have obeyed the restrictions pretty well, but average people have been ignoring them for weeks. My wife and I have been keeping the kiddo a good distance away from them, and I'm the only one of us going into stores.

He could have in conjunction with the CDC and the NIH put together a nationally led plan to implement all the rules that eventually came out. He could not have silenced the CDC or fired certain people because they were warning him. He could have pushed the DPA like a serious leader and forced manufacturers to produce medical supplies.

He could have accepted the WHOs original test instead of refusing it because it would scare people.

He could have acted like an adult leader who cared about the American people instead of Me, Me, Me the Donald needs to get re-elected.

If that's not enough for you, I am sure I can come up with some more proven failures that cost American lives.

OK, I had to go thru several of those articles before I found what I wanted, even tho it's not confirmed. I had read that they were finding CV in waste water, but hadnt been able to learn if it remained communicable.

(By the way, don’t worry about catching the virus from sewer water; contaminated water is an unlikely route of infection. Plus, in the US, at least, wastewater treatment should destroy the virus just fine.)

There's a huge difference between identifying and tracking a microbe in waste water and in that microbe retaining its virulence. They knew to look for polio in waste water, for example. But polio is a virus that retains its integrity in the human gut.

Enteric microbes survive in the human gut. CV isnt an enteric virus. (And it's not transmitted that way. If you eat a burger contaminated with CV, you wont catch CV from ingesting it.)

I was wondering if medical waste materials (such as discarded PPE, tubing, syringes, etc.) were carrying live CV into waste water systems. Because it's not likely it would survive in human waste...unless it's an enteric microbe human digestive acids kill almost everything else.

So I wanted to know if waste water would be another disease vector, another way CV could be transmitted. It looks like (but not confirmed) that it's not. Thankfully.

That's it, in a nutshell. When we do get a handle on this crisis, he wants to be able to pull out footage and declare "I called it! I said use this! I said try this! I told them to do this, it was my idea!" He's just doing it with lots of stupid stuff because he doesnt want to miss an opportunity. He's afraid 'the big one' will be mentioned and he wont get credit for it.

It's all about declaring himself the savior of the cv crisis and we'll hear all about it, esp in his campaign. (Which is basically each of his press briefings these days) --- Lursa

You can goon if you like but what you're suggesting is mostly unreasonable. You're suggesting he should of been taking actions that were recommended before they were recommended. You're criticizing him for not being nostradamus.
