I've noticed more young couples with kids not wearing protection. They think it doesn't apply to them but they can be spreaders.

Words have consequences, and lack of direction when you are in a position that influences people is an action. There are actions that Trump could have taken as early as mid January that could have cut the death rate in half. Instead, he was calling it a 'democratic hoax'

Most are probably wearing them to hide their identity while they commit arson, looting, vandalism, etc. rather than protecting others from the Virus.

I wonder if the rioters around the country will also increase the cases. They certainly aren't practicing any social distancing.

The pictures Grip provided aren't good examples of that. However, there is very good reason to think the purpose of the masks in the looting and vandalism is indeed about disguise, specifically to disguise the fact that nearly all of them are from out of state, outright foreign...and white.

Yes. I know. So does everyone else. Do you know when Camden County implemented its lockdown? Did they implement a lockdown? How strict was it? When was it lifted? How have the number of cases tracked the lockdown measures, if at all?

And what exactly is expected to happen? The Lake of the Ozarks encompasses 54,000 acres and has 1,150 miles of shore length. Even if someone who was infected did visit, that's a lotta lake, seems like it'd be easy to socially distance in.

The picture in the OP of people crowded around a pool is at best "potentially misleading". Did the patient visit that pool specifically? According to the story he just visited "the area". Why is there never a fact-checker around when you need one? They're all too busy working Twitter I guess. ;)

That's it, in a nutshell. When we do get a handle on this crisis, he wants to be able to pull out footage and declare "I called it! I said use this! I said try this! I told them to do this, it was my idea!" He's just doing it with lots of stupid stuff because he doesnt want to miss an opportunity. He's afraid 'the big one' will be mentioned and he wont get credit for it.

It's all about declaring himself the savior of the cv crisis and we'll hear all about it, esp in his campaign. (Which is basically each of his press briefings these days) --- Lursa

IMO it's an interesting observation. I dont see any big differences really, in the numbers and contact opportunities/failures (people dropping social distancing and PPE measures, for ex). It might even be more in the protest areas since stress weakens the immune system.

It will be interesting to see if there are outbreaks in all the beach areas where people have swarmed and the protest neighborhoods...or wider.
