That's a bit ironic but I appreciate your concern.

I rarely go anywhere and practice social distancing so my usage is limited. We have plenty of examples now that this works in limiting spread, and my dream is that Americans wake up and realize that limiting the spread of this virus will indeed allow us to go back to work, and normal life.

I checked this morning, nope, it is still just a dream.

Back in the 1800's the Scot Charles Mackay commented on human behavior thusly: "Men, it has been well said, think in herds. It will be seen that they go mad in herds, while they only recover their senses slowly, and one by one."

Many Americans have already awakened and realize that they were skillfully deceived by the media and governments, and have realized that any effort to "contain" the virus has been a complete failure, because it's everywhere. In the White House, in Navy Ships at sea, in the big cats at the Bronx zoo, in prisons, in mink in Holland, in the British government and pretty much every other government. We are seeing civil disobedience on a vast scale, and part of the reason for that is that many have had the disease, did not require medical intervention, and the herd immunity is growing.

So fear not, it won't be much longer and your dream might be fulfilled! :)

No worries. I found it. I almost bought a Humvee before I bought the car I have now. I just got squirrelly because I was told that they are going to be harder and harder to get parts for.

I would have rather had it fulfilled without so much death, one of my closest friends is included in those numbers so it's personal, but sadly that doesn't seem possible with an American mindset of paranoia and conspiracy. Americans lack trust, and without it, we do live in fear regardless of political views and a dog that fears bites. It doesn't have to be that way, there are examples set by other countries we could emulate.

Most of the masks are nothing more than placebos for stupid people.

If it is not N95 rated then it will not stop a virus. Using anything not certified for a virus is like using a chain fence to stop misquotes.

However, if it makes you feel secure then go ahead and use one. Just don't be an asshole and go Karen on me.

Seriously, I would leave more if I didn't have to worry about getting an earful from a well-meaning science denier trying to let me know I'm ridiculous for mask-wearing and distancing. Sadly, if I punched them in the face that would mean I would have made contact, and said person would most likely have Covid given their lack of precautions so I hold back. :eek: They're lucky this year.

One each, hang from the rear view mirror of both cars. And get used whenever we enter a building, or get in close proximity to people in public. We will continue to observe the precautions for the foreseeable future. We have no confidence whatsoever in the product of the White House briefings.

Given that many infected people are asymptomatic (I don't have the exact figure), if you don't want to make others sick, why do you leave your house at all?

LOL, one poster calls me a right wing nut, or something like that, and now another insinuates I'm a Marxist because I've seen the media lie too many times and have the temerity to talk about it in public.
