"States see spikes in cases over the holiday weekend" (this is a lie)

This is Trumpian...

Trump called Rosie “fat little Rosie,” “stupid,” “a little clam,” “unattractive,” “that animal,” and a “degenerate.” link...

"big, fat pig." He also called her a "real loser" and referred to her as "my nice fat little Rosie." - link...

Calling him "morbidly obese" is a much higher road than what he takes.

Whataboutery is very TDS.

Whataboutery is very TDS.

The President of the United States is never a whatabout at a political debate forum. Stop trying to hide Trump behind a skirt. Spare us the calling everyone insane.

Let us put this in easy terms. Breaking social distancing and rules meant for the protection of people is stupid.

In Germany on the 15th of May a closed party took place in a pub/restaurant. The people inside the venue chose to not do social distancing, standing far too close to one another and were shaking hands left right and center.

Result 9 days later: 14 guests of the closed party have contracted covid 19, 4 people with whom they had contact also contracted covid 19. 118 other guests of the party and people they got in contact with have been put in quarantine and several of them are already showing signs of covid 19 but are still waiting for the results.

Acting like a fool can get people sick pretty damned fast. Just like the couple of the pastor and his wife who infected the people who came to them for a church service, killing several people in making dozens of people sick.

Be smart, social distance if possible at all times, if not, use a mask, keep as much distance as is possible and don't be foolish with your own health and keep people who are less healthy safe from infection with covid 19.

That seems to be his new schtick. "That's very trumpian". "That's TDS." Like being a trumpanzee slinging trumps poo for him is a good tactic?

An obese piece of orange garbage does not get to talk crap about others looks and not have it thrown in his fat orange face. People who would seek to protect that pile of feces are no better than he.

Hummm, well I feel the same about you and your Commie-leaning pedophile/groping candidate. Add in the dementia and the cheerleading all becomes quite clear.

You got no problem with guilt unless it's your fat orange moron leader.

Last bar is Saturday, May 23rd. It's a "spike", right?

Anyone have any idea how long it takes from exposure to symptoms (5 days), or how long it takes for test results to come back once you get tested? A couple of days, right?

So the media would have us believe that people get exposed as they emerge on Saturday, feel sick that very same day, get tested for Covid, get their results in 12 hours, and then states "see spikes" in cases come Sunday morning when the reports aren't even in yet.

And I'm supposed to vote Biden because this logic is so convincing? Why lie, oh great media?

See - reading comprehension is important.

The circled headline isn't saying cases spiked because Americans are emerging for the holiday weekend. If there is a spike from that it will come later.

The headline points out that in many areas cases are spiking - and as those cases are spiking in those areas people are coming out for the holiday weekend.

Reading comprehension is key to understanding things you read.

People with your same ideology who released this plague on Mankind should feel guilt.

We get it. Everyone is guilty and crazy except your fat orange idiot.

I'm saddened by the lack of respect in this country. We could and should be doing better regarding the prevention of spread. Of course we will be seeing spikes. It doesn't take a rocket scientist, this is pretty simple.

Some states like Hawaii who imposed firmer measures are seeing so few cases compared with those who have no will power. Hawaii is even quarantining new arrivals for 14 days before they let them on the island. I'm jealous.
My state has opened despite rising cases, lack of PPE availability, and lack of testing and tracing. Just acting like the virus will disappear with no effort of our own. I saw packs of people unmasked going up to the lakes for the holiday. It will reflect in our numbers but we aren't a dense city so it will be a slow sustained rise.

I look at countries who've handled this with respect and I'm jealous. I feel like we resemble a third world country.

I live in a red state and it's hard to find a mask on a face out here. If you have one on you get stares. I'm baffled. Soon my state will open up mandated services like Jury duty and expect me to participate. What rights do I have? I will be forced to sit in a room full of people who disrespect others and possibly get ill to serve my country of idiots. I feel we are so spoiled and self-centered.

Instead of fighting for the right to go back to work with a virus just beginning to rage across our country, we should have been fighting for the right to get rid of this virus, get paid back some of those taxes we've paid so we could stay home and end this pandemic without hardship.
Instead we've given the green light to stop all aid and work like the casualties we've become. The little people who are just a lump sum of the tragedy this virus will unleash.

What happened to the quality of life in America? America is overworked and underpaid already, and now we are protesting to get back to it regardless of our health? Why? Why aren't we fighting for a first-world solution, instead of fighting for a third world solution? Itś embarrassing.

So what will we do with this virus steadily flowing through our veins for years? Will we be denied travel to other countries? Constantly having to close businesses? Lacking a workforce in the service industry? Lacking medical staff? The future in America looks bleak in my opinion. This won't just disappear as Trump suggests.

But have no problem with your teenage model ogling president who isn't the man he used to be either.

Trump just enjoys a list of words and phrases y'all respond to so strongly he can just throw one out and it will occlude his gaffes and ignorance.

Pavlov would be so proud of what conservative media has done with his research, being a Skinnerite and all.

Such childish responses. True colors again.

Poor little victim. When your hypocrisy is exposed, you move on to ad homs.

I have had issues with his behavior in the past. I voted for Cruz in the primaries.

Trump has kept most of his campaign promises plus a few I didn't expect. Watching you people destroy your own party thru hating him is the biggest plus of all.

Joe has been dishing out lip service for over 40 years for you failed ideology types. You'll still justify voting for him.

Obviously we have a difference of opinion. Too bad.

That's not how I see it. You believe moronic crap because your fat orange idiot god tells you to. I believe the facts because I don't believe The Cult. What you see as a difference in opinion, I see as abject ignorance and a lack of self worth driving an idiot victim narrative in a quest to feel better.

Not different opinions. An inferior, pathetic, self serving bs victim narrative. And my real, actual, opinion. You don't have an opinion, you have marching orders.

I'm pointing at you and yours. Y'all been FOS all along.

Read your cult god's tweets over the weekend.. Lol.. Name calling, insults, 'skank'... Like a spoiled brat, a vicious awful spoiled brat.

You Republicans must be proud.

You people showing your true colors is all.

Actually, what you and your con brothers in here are tying to do is establish a false equivalence so as to not defend trump's far worse insults. Unfortunately for you, it ain't gonna work.

The headline is that states see spikes as people emerge for the holiday weekend:

There is no spike, either before or during the holiday emergence.

Most importantly, you purposely/disingenuously leave out the entirety of any article that might give context/meaning to the statement you miscomprehend. The meaning is that there are many states that have spiked in the number of cases, not all states or the entire nation. You won't link the article because your false representation would be found out and you would be exposed for your prevarication. You can't prove what you pretend to claim. The fact is that while we come out of this weekend, new cases are increasing in many states. To state further, they are typically the Red states that have opened-up the most, earlier than others, and more not qualifying to do so than others based on the CDC reopening guidelines. A number of those Red states have been caught misrepresenting their figures to be "better" than they really are. All that I say I can prove. Whereas you've yet to prove what you say. So, it's YOUR OP. YOU are the original claim-maker. It's YOUR claim to prove. It's your burden to give proof. You haven't even established that the statement you circled means what you say it does because you won't give the article that would give that statement any such meaning. Bad OP.

The term "spike" has significance. "States" is also plural. Therefore, if "states" have "spiked", we should see it in the overall case load. If we do not, then you have a combination of two issues:

1. The "spike" isn't significant

2. "States" refers to very few states. Two are named directly as "spiking" in the article.

Let's say a component of an engine, perhaps the ignition, has a "spike" in power. It saw a spike. Some would think this would effect engine performance for the better, perhaps a decreased 0-60 time.

So the car gets measured 0-60, before and after the "spike" in power. No difference in 0-60 times.

Therefore, the "spike" is all show and no go.
