Baltimore pastor rips up cease-and-desist letter mid-sermon: 'We're gonna do it God's way!'

We, most of us anyway, are informed enough by now to know that from initial infection to sick AF takes more than three days.

You're claiming they all got infected at the church house and the church house closed three days later, so they would have all had to have experienced the same incubation time.

You don't know a single thing about how a virus mutates or what it even means. That's pretty clear. Obviously it's possible that all three contracted the virus at the same time, on the same day.

Since we have no proof of the existence of any god, there's only a specious correlation to be made. I commented because of the pastor's quote: "we're gonna do it God's way!".

According to the pastor, he believes that it is 'God's way' to break the law.

Ignorance kills. Someone should show him youtube videos of Western Europe in the 14th century. The whole place was pious and prayed like crazy. No protection.

It seems doubtful we'll be reading any complaints about the Muslims, many who have already reopened their mosques.

How Mosques—Usually Shoulder to Shoulder, Toe to Toe—Are Already Reopening

The O/P and others may now continue with the selective outrage...

Why did you hijack this thread with the diversion to Muslims? Just wondering. Could it because Trump tweeted that lie on April 20th? If he repeats the lies enough, you'll believe just about anything.

Show me the thread you started about that.

Are you asking people to post duplicate threads just to prove some point to you? Weird.

Nice article.

Why are you high jacking my post to another poster?
...I addressed his concerns.

Again, the collective ignorance of conservatives defies critical thinking. There should have been a lesson learned from the church that just reopened live services and several members contracted the virus and they shut it down again just 3 days later.

Donations are down and maybe the pastor has a boat payment to make?

He may also be ignorant and/or a Mammonite.

A Baltimore pastor tore up a cease-and-desist letter mid-sermon Wednesday night after local officials threatened a $5,000 fine earlier in the week for holding in-person services.
Maryland Gov. Larry Hogan announced last Friday that houses of worship could reopen at 50 percent capacity, citing declining hospitalizations related to the coronavirus pandemic. He left the timing up to local jurisdictions. The state has had more than 41,000 confirmed coronavirus cases and at least 2,081 deaths.

Stacey Shiflett, pastor of the 400-member Calvary Baptist Church in Dundalk, held a Wednesday night service. With more than 100 congregants in the 600-capacity sanctuary, Calvary was in compliance with Hogan's order but in defiance of the Baltimore County Department of Health and Human Services' order.

This "pastor", who clearly doesn't give a **** about his congregation, takes his cues from Bill O'Reilly.

I know that church doesn't hold services Sunday and all those people got infected at the church house and were all showing symptoms by Tuesday. That's ****ing bull**** and you know it.

No, you intentionally veered off topic to push your xenophobic agenda.

What is the incubation period for covid-19? Oh yes, it's 3 days to 2 weeks. Nevertheless, the fact remains that these people went to their service asymptomatic at best and with some symptoms at worse and possibly infected dozens of others. Take THAT '****ing bull****'.

And the odds that every single person got infected and experienced that exact same incubation period are in the millions. Keep lying. I know it makes you feel good.

Christians. No complaints about any other religion.

In this case yes because the topic is a Christian pastor, but the same applies to group gatherings of any other faith. We saw Muslims in Iran licking religious objects to as a sign of faith despite the outbreak there, and large Hassidic funeral gatherings in the NY area. The virus doesn't care about a person's faith; it's a simple matter of either making it easier to spread or not.

Great! More Trump supports getting the virus through stupidity. Darwins abound. ****ing morons.

Stop calling me a liar. I never said that.

Hell yea he did.. gotta get that money baby.

Bet that fine is less than he is expecting to make off donations or he wouldn’t be doing it.

You hit the nail on the head. Money over God, money over the lives of humans.

The OP claimed a church had to shutdown after being open three days, because congregants of that church are sick, suggesting they got infected at the church house.

From the OP:

That is NOT what I said and you're trying to blow it all out of proportion implying that they 'all' got sick. What I said is that there was a church that opened up after shut down and several members contracted the virus and they shut it down again just 3 days later. Do you see the difference? You're extrapolating what's not there. You're trying to embellish with your own words what never happened.

You all do it, anyway. Why stop now? :lamo

Yeah, your dodge failed.

There are a few congregations that seem to go out of their way to show they are bucking the rules. It is like a person that puts on a "kick me" on his own ass and is surprised when someone kicks him.:2wave:
