Here’s a Look at the Coronavirus Hit to California Economy - California Globe

As of March, the private sector lost 110,609 jobs while government added 21,000 jobs, according to a report in the Orange County Register, April 19, 2020

The overall mortality rate from coronavirus in California as of May 14 is 0.01% (1/100 of 1 percent) per total population (3,032/39.5 million).
The mortality rate of those hospitalized for coronavirus is 70 percent.
5 percent of all deaths are those age 50 and over who are mostly not working
Seniors living in nursing homes are 1% of the population but comprise 39% of all C-19 deaths – PPIC, link here.
Below are official statistics as of May 14, 2020 from the California Department of Public Health (Link here).

Not much to discuss other than whether or not it is Trump’s fault.

Title of a paper: "An in depth look at the factors and mechanization of the impact of Covid19 on the economy of California to include consideration of a service based economy and decreased population density."

Trumper thought: "This proves Trump didn't do it!"

This is why Trumpers aren't allowed in college.

Whatever the OP's motivation may be, I think the numbers are likely fair and could be a stepping-off point for discussion, whatever that me be? I's start by saying the numbers show Newsom did a pretty good job, and the shutdown was effective for him.

And if California can break out their numbers, it could be done nationally.

The cops should be guarding the nursing homes rather than arresting surfers and barbers.

BTW, the OP Trump comment was tongue in cheek .

We need to totally rethink elderly-care in terms of epidemic-pandemic risk. Our nursing homes became killing fields, and might be the worse blight we've had upon us a nation in a very, very, long time. It is unacceptable.
